Does your ozbargain spouse get annoyed when you don’t get the maximum discount on a deal (e.g. cashback with giftcards)?

For some reason if I forget to use a giftcard for a purchase my ozbargainer spouse gets frustrated, even if the cashback is about $3.50

$3.50 cashback.. where abouts? It should be posted as a deal.

My partner would justify that extra $3.50 as buying some Maccas soft serve. That's the OzBargainer spirit in her.

Just point them to all the forum posts where people have loaded up on gift cards and it's all gone pear-shaped.

why did it you take 3 years to ask/post this dilemma?

When was the tipping point? What were you buying as the last straw?

Honestly if my spouse wasted $3.50 i'd just get a divorce immediately.

  • Nope, I’m not much into the cash backs, he does a little but not religiously.

    about $3.50

…and I yelled, I said, "What do you want from us, monster?" And the monster bent down, and said, "I need about tree-fitty."

  • It’s on them to make it easy FOR YOU - Haha

  • It's not about the $3.50. It's about the hours it took them to figure out how to save that $3.50.

Sometimes these cashback deals are just not worth the hassle.

  • I was that spouse.

Don’t know as I’m the OzBargainer and I get frustrated at myself when I forget to do cashback, etc. if my spouse was the OzBargainer then she would probably get cross at me 😂

  • Yeah! If I don’t get the 15c cashreward because I really couldn’t be bother to go get her non-adblocked device and log in, look out.
