  • Seems like a good price - how does this one perform? I've been on the lookout for a cheapie. Price shows as $139.30 for me

My neighbour tried to clean her driveway with one of these, the pressure was rubbish and as a result the width of the lance was very narrow.

I saw her struggling and lent her my Karcher. She did what took her 45 min with this turd in about 10 with the Karcher.

For drive ways and other large flat areas. I find the best thing to use is a patio cleaning attachment.

It makes it so much faster and you don’t get streaks.

      • Is that the circle shaped one with brushes around the perimeter and a spinning twin nozzle underneath?

        • Yup! Patio cleaner, deck cleaner, surface cleaner etc different names for the same product.

Another good thing, is it stops water splashing all over you.

@StonedWizard: That's interesting I've always tried those things but found the pure pressure from the lance does a better job at lifting up dirt and grime, perhaps because I've got a cheapie 2000w/2000psi electric pressure washer.

@m0usju1c3: Whilst PSI is important, it’s better to look at the flow rate a model has. Especially when using a floor cleaner.

Those sub $200 units have low flow rates so they’ll take longer to clean.

      • The Bosch patio cleaner on my Aquatak smashed our a driveway in no time. Although I do have the 140 model with perhaps more pressure.

    • which karcher do you have?

      • I have no idea, I think its a K2, had it for about 12 years, still going strong.

    The shopvac 15 is also a great deal at $111.30 - https://www.amazon.com.au/Bosch-06033D1140-Cleaner-Function-…

(kicking myself for impulse buying last week after convincing myself it wouldn't be in prime sale based on camelx3)

I came here to mention this vac. I just got it with the cashrewards (currently 16% off with ANZ Max), so this will cost me $95.11.

    • So, how to use this Vacuum cleaner as a pressure washer??

  • The guns are apparently known for leaking on the Aquatak. Mine gave up after about a year. Going to try replace washers or order one off Alibaba.

Thinking to buy the Ozito 1800W 2030PSI High Pressure Washer seems comments not bad

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-1800w-2030psi-high-pressur…

  • Buy the most expensive /best gerni you can afford. I paid about 600 for mine about 15 years ago now. Still running strong. It's a gerni one down from the bottom but wish I had purchased an even more powerful one.

  • Using 7000 for couple months now, worth the price

  • Is the bigboi any good? I just prefer the Gerni/Karcher 7 year warranty.

  • +1

re pressure washers look for the Litres per min used, will help you understand how much water is actually being pumped through the unit.

Generally the higher the better otherwise its just a really fine amount of water at high pressure (will take longer to clean with less water being sprouted out).

Generally the cheaper ones have plastic style pumps vs brass - but thats not really indicative of quality these days like it used to be.

    • Good explanation. I will say Bosch is better for light user. For someone needs to do the job quit frequently, there are other machines which may cost more, but definitly make things easier.

  • Flow Rate: 6L/min vs the Gerni 3300 at 7.7L/min. In my opinion get the Gerni 5000 at flow rate 8.7L/min. I too initially bought a cheapy Gerni pressure washer and it just takes too long to clean the patio, I now have a Gerni 5000 and it makes the job so much easier. If you're just using it to wash the car then any cheapy one will work fine i guess.

    • look out for max water flow vs rated water flow e.g. Gerni 5000 has a max water flow of 8.7L/min and Gerni 5300 is 8.3L/min. But the rated (or actual operating) water flow rate is 5.8L/min for Gerni 5000 and 7.5L/min for Gerni 5300.

for the Bosch unit and Gerni 3300, both have rated water flows of 5.4L/min.

  • Have one of these. Previous had Karchers but find this superior.

  • So what's the verdict? This good for the price? Looking to clean patio, sidewalks, pathways etc
