Got one Boost sim for 28 days via ShopBack. I hope I can call my parents who will be on international roaming through one of the supported 300 minutes international call destination country on boost.

If they're buying an overseas SIM that should use the 300 minutes (if the right countries). But if they're "roaming" with an Australian SIM, that might be a totally different case for billing, and could cost them if they've not set up the right thing. I suggest checking.

Feels a bit like you're burying the lead here: So this is effectively Free with Cashrewards?

    • Yeh, free with Cashrewards but since the code isn’t listed on their site, it’ll invalidate the cashback if you use the code

      • +1

Well, fingers crossed it'll work out like this deal (without the profit).

        • TA has replied back to my dm. The banner has been pulled sadly :/

        • TA has just confirmed that the promo is live on CR, meaning the $30 SIM becomes free :)

          • @BargainsGrabber: Will the cashback still be paid if I port out after 28 days?

            • +2

@purple1: My cashback on ShopBack tracked and confirmed even though my SIM never arrived and had to contact Boost support to transfer the credit from the $30 SIM onto a $2 SIM

I also managed to get a chargeback from my bank since the SIM didn’t arrive

  • Good luck getting the actual Sim card.
Good luck getting a refund from Boost

Code worked fine, CR tracked right away. Never used Boost before, and on a 5G phone, looking forward to it…

    • CR has pulled the banner off from the front page and if you have used a promo code, it’ll invalidate the cashback :(

      • but the boost9 code appears in Boost Mobile Offers & Coupons section on Cashrewards

        • See the revisions on this deal post :)

Initially, the code wasn’t listed on CR at midnight and I messaged TA. He did his magic and the code is now listed :)

  • How's the delivery nowadays? A lot of us struggled to get the Sim card on time three months ago. So, might have to think twice before ordering this.

SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.
    kills the deal for me

      • Ok good to hear, anyway is CR now essentially giving it for free (after CB) or will use of BOOST9 decline the CB ?

        • +1

The code has recently been added as an approved code on CR :)

          • +1

@BargainsGrabber: Thanks ordered one, any clue how long does CR tracking take with this one ?

            • +1

@USER DC: I haven’t ordered Boost before on CR. But knowing their past history of tracking, it should be quick :)

              • @BargainsGrabber: Disabled adguard but forgot to disable brave, damm now have to loop around return and refund :(

                Just bad luck

SB usually will always track order (even with ad block on, CR has it very tough bypassing ad block)

            • +1

@USER DC: i got the tracking email from CR in 1-2 minutes after I the email confirmation from boost

  • +1

Thanks arse & grabber, bought one & tracked within minutes on Cashrewards.

  • Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later.

    • What step did you reach?

      • Payment

    • I got this error on my second SIM purchase. I purchased my own and misses' using same credit card (mine). But I couldn't buy my second SIM using this credit card. I tried second credit card but no success. Therefore I concluded that BOOST allow only one SIM per customer. Shame.

      • I don't have any of any of their sims. Tried different phone number, different credit card, different name - no use.

        • that's certainly strange. why don;t you contact support via call or chat for assistance? Surely they will try to make you buy it.

          • @zenzen: Not worth my time. I'd rather get another sim from the provider that works from the get go.

          • @zenzen: Was finally able to place an order on another email. Apparently, my main email is banned by Boost. No idea why, don't recall being their customer previously.

            • @beesider: Not sure if this is your problem, but when I hit them up on chat after having trouble activating, they told me that their system doesn't handle custom domains well. Ended up activating with @gmail but then changing over to my custom domain email address, and that worked.

  • Can you port in?

  • +1

    awesome

been wanting to test my canadian version LG G6 which has rubbish reception on both vodaphone and optus

  • +1

Activation didn't work for me via online portal.
Needed to live chat for successful Activation.

    At least it activated

    • +1

      Wow that was fast delivery!

Just had a chat with boost mobile in Facebook Messenger and this is what they said:
Yes, that was a problem with the supply chain.(regarding the delay back in April) Normally, if you place your order on a business day, your item will usually be dispatched within 24 hours. Once dispatched, you should receive your order within the following business days:
Metro Areas – 2-5 business days for capital cities – Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart & Brisbane (order before 4pm).
Non Metro or Regional / remote areas – 3-7 business days.

Hopefully they have sorted the issue with delivery. I might buy one today and see when it arrives.
