      NO … This is optional according to Uniden website. I think this is a stock photo that they show with the unit.

        Actually I think I may be wrong …i have just noticed the bit down the side where it says "Special offer - Includes Range extender" down the side of the product page. apparently a limited offer.

      Just wondering if your XDECT 8055 has a few secs delay when answering?

      I purchased one recently from JB online and the phone has a few
      secs delay when answering, i.e. when I pickup the phone and answer
      the call with "Hello" but the other party will not hear me until I repeat
      "Hello" again. I have another cordless phone in the house and it works fine,
      the other party can hear me straight away when the call is answered.

    for those who have this one… how loud is the ringtone?

    im looking for one that is loud.. I currently have a panasonic one and it has a rather quiet ringtone

      The main base unit is loud but the handset ring isn't that loud.

          Yep. The extra handset won't be that loud when it rings.

    Does this have answering machine feature?

    found the answer on the JBHifi link above so it does have integrated answering machine. Strange that I'm not seeing this mentioned on the HN site.

    Anyone find a good deal for a bluetooth cordless?

    The reception at my place is only good at the front of the house…..near the back, its non existent.

    Maybe I can leave my mobile at the front and connect to the cordless by bluetooth? Anyone?
