Last time I bought some gear on sale, decided it was the wrong size and they replaced it for free :) - lolol

      • Looks like that wont happen again.. I asked them if they will be getting more stock in.

        Thank You for contacting SKINS,

The product you have selected is from our SKINS 1.0 or Originals range which has now been discontinued and replaced with the A200 series. Through our website the style of garment and the sizes associated are what we have available in stock and once this has been sold it will not be replaced.

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused.

      • i did the same thing

  • awesome thanks!

  • great deal but its a shame on the selection options :(

But then again it is a clearence

Good savings on RRP but prices are up 20-30% on the same items from the previous sale

No popular sizes available…..unless your extra extra large or a extra extra small person.
"SKINS sold at clearance are not returnable and cannot be refunded."

    Statement is illegal.

“Many shoppers are not aware of their rights when making purchases at sales. The notion that sale items are non-refundable is a myth.”

Under the Australian Consumer Law retailers are only obliged to take returns of faulty goods within the first 12 months of sale. They are not obliged to take returns of goods for mere change of mind.

Shoppers get the same legal rights purchasing sale items as they do purchasing full priced items. Normally retailers are happy to go beyond their legal obligations and offer returns for non-faulty stock however, in sale situations where the objective is to clear old stock they often tighten their policies to ensure that everything is cleared once and for all.

I'm sure if the items were faulty they'd take the items back but the statement is really just to cover their buts when people get too excited about getting a bargain and buy the wrong sizes or buy stuff they don't need on a whim and decide they don't want their goods later on. When you buy cheap you can't expect to get the same service you get when buying full price.

Should really say "SKINS sold at clearance are not refundable and cannot be refunded unless faulty"

i swear that split was there BEFORE i tried the XS on

    • Don't be a jerk. Its clearly a clearance sale. Obviously they won't have all the sizes as they are clearing out a discontinued line. They had a huge sale last year where lots of people got Skins (Originals)they wanted.

    • The question is - is it true for undergarmets? I have seen in many places, it is clearly display as a thing that cannot be returned due to hygenic reasons!

  • Pretty limited on the ladies items in terms of choice and size, but still a good deal! Availability was definitely much better at the last sale.

Sorry Guys but a Big Neg for this statement "SKINS sold at clearance are not returnable and cannot be refunded."

    Statement is illegal.

“Many shoppers are not aware of their rights when making purchases at sales. The notion that sale items are non-refundable is a myth.”

Mr Andrews said stores were obliged to offer consumers a choice between a refund, repair, exchange or credit in cases where:
    · The products purchased are faulty;
    · They are significantly different to those shown or described to consumers, or
    · The products are not doing what they’re supposed to.

i dont know who is negging this guys comments. he is right. its ur consumer rights

      • +4

True, but he didn't need to post the same thing twice within 10 minutes of each other.

        • +1

I didn't, but the mod removed the second post, then I re-posted under the first, then the mod re-instated the second! sorry

        • @rokkz

Lol, I don't think the mod did that.

        • Would show you the screen shot if I could, but whatever

      • +1

        evened it out.

    • umm but does that mean there is a refund even if you just had a change of mind or incorrect size?

      • No, it does not.

      • +3

No, retailers are only obliged to repair, replace or refund if goods are faulty. It is the buyer's obligation to make sure that the item is what they wanted, unless the purchase was due to misinformation by the seller.

        • That's correct but the three R's are usually the consumers choice and usually refund or replace would be offered for new or goods that would normally be expected to last a reasonable amount of time.

Either way the title is wrong, you see it all the time and no doubt why the angst among posters!

To my understanding (and I could definitely be wrong), I think the statement "SKINS sold at clearance are not returnable and cannot be refunded." is intended to mean that there will be no returns or refunds for change of mind or incorrect size (due to buyer error). If this is the case, I don't believe that the statement (or action) is illegal in anyway…

    purchased this last ski sale
    http://www.aldi.com.au/au/html/offers/2827_22021.htm

have been using them running and soccer training lately.

totally recommend them for the price

    • nice, I might give it a shot, I've been looking for some cheaper stuff lately, so I'll try this. These cold mornings are killing me for running atm haha

    • i thought the sale starts on the 2nd of June at Aldi… is it out there already?

I've got a bunch of compression gear and used to love skins, but now I much prefer 2XU. They hold their compression longer and a little better made in terms of quality.

    • I tend to agree although skins pants tend to be a better design/cut, like you mention the 2Xu material is better, all down to personal preference .

      • Depends really, the one on clearance is pretty crap the waist band lost it's stitching for me in a bout 2 weeks had to send em back.
But my other Skins (newer ones) A400 have lasted over a year and still going strong and I use them 4 times a week.

  • Perfect! Just ordered 2 pair of tights to replace those old loosen ones I have.

  • damn good prices, nothing medium that would fit :( …I've ordered from this store here, they have quite good prices compared to what we're charged here anyway http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryI…

  • soooo tempt to get this http://store.skins.net/au/skins-clearance/outdoor-mens-compr… so i can sneak up my cat without it notice me … WOOT

  • Love the ad for "the iconic" showing the shorts for $75, that's good to know if you can't get them for the 17.50 clearance price you can buy them for more than 4 times that price at the iconic… or not :P

  • I bought two pairs of those power soxk, hopefully that relieves me from cramping after soccer games.

  • Anyone received their order yet?
