      Words cannot describe how disappointed I am with origins.
      They’ve found a way to further rehash and charge for the same content, which is worse than the GameCube collection, and there’s not even a single simple version… there’s a myriad of version tiers.
      Also: there’s apparently some of the original audio no longer included due to copyright.

          @splicer: I just want a rom hack that changes nothing except adding spin dash to Sonic 1. But they all seems to add other gimmicks I don’t want.

  What's wrong with sonic origins (apart from being over priced)? Isn't it just a compilation of the original games?
  Used to be a massive sonic fan during the megadrive days and was thinking about getting it for my son

    They have been rebuilt on a new engine instead of emulating the originals, which would be fine, except they added a lot bugs (check the video I posted above).

    You're better off emulating the originals.

  Thanks OP. I enjoyed the game alot more then any previous Sonic 2D games (other then the originals). I would've got it if I didn't already own it on another platform.

  I'll hold off on Origins unless it gets dirt cheap.

  As a sonic fan from the 90s I refuse to buy Sonic origins. Yes sonic Mania is a much better game at a much better price.
