Tenda Nova MW12 - Directly to home FTTP Socket

Hi all,

I have a FTTP connection at home and was wondering if I could plug this directly to the NBN sockets around the house.

Or do I need to buy a router and plug the main node to the router?

  • Connection type is PPPoE

  • the sockets around the house is called Ethernet ports or RJ45 ports, the ports on the Tenda Nova is also an ethernet port.

You plug your old ethernet cable from the old Router that was in the WAN labeled ethernet port into the Tenda Nova router.

PPPoE is the connection type that allows you type in your username/password to connect to your ISP so you can have access to the internet

The Tenda nova can act as your main Modem/Router/WiFi you don't need to buy another router

    • Thank you very much!
