Where did you get the price of $59?

    I see it advertised for $79 during the 1 hour sale… ?

    • +2

I saw this too, the website and email doesn't match up. sent them a tweet, the website is incorrect, so the deal is def. $59!

I've had one for years but mine uses a camera battery that goes for about $14 a pop so I want to upgrade.

How much are the refills? This would be the killer.

    • refills are generally pretty expensive retail almost $1 a shot.

But a quick search on ebay gives some pretty reasonable prices shipped from overseas.

    • I purchased a pack of 20 Fujifilm instant films from Officeworks mid last year for $16.50 (from memory). The film is stocked near the inkjet printer cartridges.

      • these aren't the Polaroid Pogo Printer paper?

        • No, they are two different things and are not compatible.

I just got an email from DSE

Dicks One Hour Quicky 7pm to 8pm

Girls + Polaroids = A Night to Remember.

Side benefit: there's only one copy, no negatives or electronically shared images. If you have the physical item you're pretty sure only you possess the image.

+1, for the guys and girls who want to take "happy snaps" without having to worry it'll end up being on some explicit website or facebook

        • +1

I'm sorry but its their Civic Duty to post on FaceBook.

        • +1

what about the girls or guys who take the happy snaps then use their phones to take a photo of the photo to put up on facebook

        • then they're just plain douchey…

  • In all seriousness I was thinking of buying one of these for my wedding years ago for the wedding cocktails before the wedding dinner.

Better than signing a book I reckon.

    • yeah, they had them at two of my friends' weddings recently…they were a great idea!

    • We had a photobooth. :)

delivery in NSW is around 4.95.

Still cheap! I was in tokyo earlier in the year and even there they were slightly more expensive than this

Title should include: "+ $1m for film"

  • polaroid been release since 1950s, why its print still so expensive!! soon it'll be cheaper just to hand out LCD paper to your friends then these over price piece of scrap paper.

    • +4

Because it's a niche market and production costs will be high. Low volume production means higher per unit costs. That and because they can. (Problems with niche markets)

A very quick ebay on this product and I think you can get the same one + 50 film for about $115.
You can also buy 50 film alone for $40, so this deal still works out cheaper ($60 for DSE camera with 10 film + $40 ebay for 50 film = $100) its a plus from me coz its Aussie and its cheaper! Thanks OP. Please correct me if my numbers are wrong

*Edit if you add postage it will still work out cheaper I think

  • Just registered to say thanks! Grabbed one aswell, albiet the 79$ one with addition of the 20pack of film.

  • Damn, missed it.
could have been perfect, she mentioned thinking of buying it couple of times and her birthday coming up!

    • your gf must be asian!
