Qantas Travel Debit Mastercard - Financial Reporting

Hi All

My partner was thinking about getting an Qantas Travel Debit Card for our upcoming trip. From what I can see, the QFF card itself is the travel card, and it just needs to be activated.
It’s a Debit Mastercard issued by Heritage bank.

Wanted to find out if anyone knows if the card will/can be seen by reporting agencies when we go and apply for a home loan or credit cards ect. in the future.
As it’s a debit card, you’d think not, though am not sure.

Appreciate the help. :)

If you're talking about the travel money card https://www.qantasmoney.com/travel-money-card and given you mention heritage I'm guessing you are. it's not credit it's definitely a debit card and there's no reporting to credit bureaus.

The product is also technically horrible like most of these currency travel prepaid cards. It is one of the better ones out of the list though you should probably take a look at this instead.

Heaps of good options both credit and debit.

  • If its a debit card (i.e. cant go into debt on it) then no it won't hinder any lines of credit.
