Income Shortfall in Application for ANZ FF Black Card Question

I applied for an ANZ Black Card based on PAYG income and a Scholarship Pay but was told by the assessor that the scholarship pay was not accepted. This puts my income under the previously published $75,000 minimum income to $65,000.

From other's experience, were you able to get approved for the Black card with a lower accepted income?

Even if others have been approved in the past, it is not going to help your application right now.

I was naively hopeful that they lowered the income threshold.

You are going to show them your previous 2 payslips or last PAYG statement.

If those reflect 75k then you are in luck.

If you wait, your pay drops and is reflected in payslips, then you will likely be rejected.

    • They asked for three months worth. I'm SOL

I managed to get this exact card through many years ago by using interest on savings to push me over the threshold. I was only just under it and it me a few hundred over, but they accepted (and started me off on a $18,500 limit despite me barely qualifying).

  • Just get the platinum one?

    • Less QFF points for close to the same spend amount. But yeah, I ended up withdrawing the Black FF in lieu of Platinum.
