Need some help to decide between 2 iPhones. I am trying to justify the features as battery and display refresh are pretty useful.
Is the extra $500 price tag too much? That's another 50% for 2 features.
I am coming from a Pixel 3 XL which lasts all of 3 hours in total and fast charges in 10 minutes so yay me.
I can attest to the battery life. I have used my Pixel from 2018 till now without any battery replacements. It only lasts 7 hours or so on power save in my pocket throughout the day. Maybe a few hours extra on extreme power save mode.
The iPhone 13 switches the display Hz between 10hz-120hz i think automatically. But every single reviewer said the battery is insane lasting 2 days or one day with 30% left easily.
I am just going through the uncertainty phase as I will tend to use the phone for the next 3-4 years easily.
I looked into a battery replacement for my Pixel 3 XL but google support quoted me $350 which is laughable in 2022

if that's the case, definitely go for the more expensive model. the extra $500 is worth it if you don't churn through phones each year like most.

I wouldnt turn it off tho cause if the battery is already so good, i rather have that amazing display than maybe a few extra hours. But this would be useful for long trips, camping or traveling overseas when you dont want to charge up.
We're about 2 months away from the iPhone 14. Even if you didn't want the latest, the 12 and 13 will reduce in price then.

iPhone 13 pro max 100%, its the first iPhone that's got me to switch from Android in my entire life, Ive been with Android since the first Samsung Galaxy S1.
12 Pro Max also has a big battery life. You could get the 12 now and upgrade to the 15 next year, it's meant to have a telescopic lens.
Depends on your budget. 12 is a better value. But if you can piss away 1500, just get the 13.
You already blowing up a huge (for most people) chunk of your salary why not go the whole 9 yards
iPhone 13 Pro Max has very good reviews on battery life. It's on another level compared to the iPhone 12. The iPhone 14 is around the corner and is meant to be a big upgrade so if you can wait then wait. Either the 14 will be great or it'll push the 13 down in price.
i would always go for the longer battery life. the battery life in modern phones with 4g / 5g is a huge downside, always go bigger.
i'm not sure if iphones allow it, but my android allowed me to switch the phone back from 90 hz to 60 hz manually, sure it wasn't as snappy, but the battery life was noticeably longer, so you could potentially have more than 30 hours.
