Yeah, my oven broke and have been too lazy to fix it since I have a sandwich press, slow/fast cooker, and a convection oven.
Convection is good for pies and pastries though? Not for cakes, breads or souffles but you can't do that in this anyway.
No you're right, I technically don't need this…hence why I actually didn't buy it but after watching someone use it on YouTube, I might, seems pretty convenient to make a quick sausage roll or apple pie.
Cheaper than a pastry mould.

I have it and I love it. Super easy and tasty pies.
Became curious after posting this and bought one. It's actually pretty good, just get some puff pastry, put it in this with some chocolate or whatever filling you want and it's delicious for something under 20 mins with 5-10 min prep time.
For apple pies you can just get tinned apple, dice up the apple slices and leave over a strainer for a while to get rid of excess moisture, then combine with some brown sugar, cinnamon and any other spices and into the pastry it goes. Super easy and delicious.
