Mercury Hard Cider Varieties 6-Packs $13 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store/ $100 Order) @ Liquorland

920

I saw this on my coles docket, turns out it's not even a docket deal, it's just what the price is at the moment. I guess the docket did it's job though, it got me to walk in. I'm in SEQLD so not sure if it's a regional price.

Thank you to @nicholasv for this: Can buy on Coles Online for an extra 20% off with CHEERS20, and an extra 5% with Hiver cashback

I don't think we can do this in QLD though as coles online doesn't do alcohol for us 😢

They're not bad, the raspberry is pretty good. 14.4 standards for $13 on the raspberry and passionfruit, 12 standards for $13 on the Original.

Crushed Raspberry linked on deal (8.2%):

I'm not a praying man, but this seems like a good cause 🙏

      Godspeed my man.

Damn, this is a very solid price. Shame we don't have any upsized cashback to pair it with :(

Definitely prefer the Raspberry over the Passionfruit

  • +3

$13 at first choice too if you don't have Liquorland

    • Aye, nice catch - looks like the case is cheaper there too than Liquor land (59 vs 66), but still cheaper to buy them in individual 6 packs, hah. I guess if they have cases, ask if you can open 1 for 6packs - then rock up with 4 6packs 🤔

      • +1

Why ask? Go into the cold room and open a carton; the 20yr old attendant isn't your Dad.

        • +5

I'm in a regional town, so the attendants are usually older women who know my mother in law/had my wife over as a kid for sleepovers as children several decades ago, as everyone's kids went to the same school. This may be what has driven me to asking before breaking cases into 6packs/6packs into singles :P I've been here so long now I guess I've forgotten what the outside world is like 😂

        • +5

Most annoying thing is when people open 6 packs to take a single bottle and then the next person to buy a single opens ANOTHER six pack.

        • +3

@KLoNe It seems a bit entitled to assume that breaking packages up to access smaller units is your right, regardless of the attendant's age.

Or as my dad used to say: that's just not the done thing mate.

Ask them. Whether they will or not, it's their store, their policy, their property until you've transacted at the register.

Plus, it's just good manners. And the world needs more of that.

Let's not turn the whole country into boganville

      • +1

You just ask them to ring up 4 x 6 packs.

If they were any good, they'd actually ring them up that way.y local LL, they automatically do that, they scan docket deals without dockets, or tell you then it's cheaper to buy the 700ml vs 1lt, cheaper to buy 2 bottles of wines, or even the other day, Calton Dry was $21/6pk $30 for 2 or $45/slab, the bloke in front asked for a 6pk and drove off with 2 slabs for $90.

  • Bugger doesn't deliver to TAS.

    • There's a new store opening in Glebe Hill. Not sure if it's opened yet though

  • Good price - 3 of them are good enough for a decent night.

    • 3 six packs or bottles?

      • +2

        3 six packs, obviously!

      • Three cartons

Ayye cheers mate - Im guessing I didn't find the coles deal as they don't do alcohol for us QLD plebs 😢

I've updated the post with this info!

    • thanks for cheers20! nice.
anyone find that the passionfruit one isnt avail? or is that just a Sydney store thing…

      • Found it available in a few locations in Vic, their website is so difficult to navigate but it was just trial and error until I found a store with stock

Also try promos CLICK10, NEXTSHOP10 and VALUE20 for further discount (some have minimum spend but worth a shot as promos stack at Coles). Plus any shops will go towards your flybuys promos too :)

@Dark Zeus: VALUE20 requires $250 spend. You could buy 19 packs and still not reach it lol

            • @pennypincher98: Doesn't have to be spent just on Mercury. I reached $250 because needed some Chandon for sisters wedding in December

              • @nicholasv: True, but $250 is a lot and highly likely we'll get a cashback + offer to double up on before December.

            • @pennypincher98: Thanks, not willing to spend that amount of minimum spending.

      • Defo got the passionfruit one across Sydney, likely just out of stock. Other flavours are better anyway imho (Original is only 6.9% tho)

        • i was checking around sutherland and CBD - ah well!

          • +1

@swampson: Ah yea, by "across Sydney" I meant the north (north west & north shore area)

    • Worth noting that it's a $50 minimum order at Coles online.

I vomited the last time I drank 6 of these

    • +1

Hmm sugar intolerant or just a lightweight?

      • +2

I drank them too fast, all gone within 1 hour but it was a good experience because it made me give up smoking and drinking after that event

        • +2

Drinking a can every 10 minutes isn't the best idea. So great that you don't drink anymore.

        • Don't be a quitter !

Can anyone confirm if alcohol purchases count towards the Coles current 10,000 point deal ($xx for 4 weeks)?

If so, I'd grab a few of these plus the canadian club 10 pack isn't a bad price after the 20% off.

    Cheers.

    • +1

Can anyone confirm if the sugar consumption counts towards me getting fat ?

      • sugar is 26.3g per 375ml.

        • Good lord I'm glad I didn't know that last night 😂

      • Sugar is free calories if it comes from apples

    • It does

    ‘Hard cider’. Very American.

    • +2

      Americans have Dickens Cider

      • Dickens Cider was in Tassie. They shut down the brewery about 8 years ago.

  • Cheers OP, stocked up with the CHEERS20 code

Price Match it at Dan's who have it 'on special' for $18.

    (Lowest liquor price guarantee: https://www.danmurphys.com.au/help/help-centre/articles/3600…)

    • Went into Dan's and showed them the Coles link and the CHEERS20 code, "May I please have a case for $41.59?". Manager gets called over.

"You can't do it as its a coupon code"

      some examples of acceptable competitor’s advertised prices are a competitor’s catalogue, website URL address, or a voucher or coupon;

"Oh but it's it's online only"

same day delivery or pickup: within a 10 kilometre radius of your physical store (I can literally see the Coles building from the Dan's)

She literally had the Coles website open and the Dan's help page on price guarantee open and then says "I'll do it this time just for you so that you're happy"

wtf you should be offering this to everyone!

The hangover/headaches after these is something else - particularly the raspberry ones. They are shocking

    • +1

Now that you mention it, I had a headache all morning/afternoon and only had 4.. I figured I was getting covid again, hah!

    • +1

Read this comment too late… Committed to a carton of raspberry and only half a carton of passionfruit as I've read less good things.
Hopefully its not too bad and maybe even works better with some ice and maybe some sparkling water.

      • Go easy haha

      • Have water or snack breaks XD
If you only have 2 or 3 it shouldn't be an issue, but 4 is 9.2 standard drinks or around 7-8ish beers and that many beers would probably knock me around too.

  • Anyone know if this is made with aussie apples or chinese concentrate?

  • How long does the sale go for?
