[PS4] Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind $31.46, [PS5] Final Fantasy 7 Remake Episode INTERmission $22.46 @ PlayStation Store

170

Had these on my wishlist and noticed they went on sale. Both require the base game to play.

Link for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Episode INTERmission.

30% discount on Kingdom Hearts DLC, and I think 25% for the FF7 DLC (can't go back to see this one as they seem to hide it unless you haven't bought it AND have the PS5 version of the game tied to your account!)

KH DLC lowest on DekuDeals was $30.11 so not the lowest ever but still close.

FF7 DLC I've seen it go down to this price a couple of times, no price history on dekudeals so not sure if it's been lower before.

love kingdom hearts 1, finished it three times back in the day

got kh3 and the whole time im like..wtf is going on with this story. Tried to read an abridged wiki summary but it was just still so off-the-wall lmao

    • Interesting. I read that the same director or writer had the same effect on FF7R.

      • I have no idea why they let him touch FF7. The last 1/4 of the game is full of that Kingdom Hearts bs.

Hopefully he doesn't ruin the sequel…

        • Haha I read also that he's not working on it?

    • Damn, I finished KH1 two times and loved KH2.
So do you reckon it's not worth it to play? I heard the FF characters are not even there.

The KH lore goes very deep across many games, and playing just KH1/2/3 won't really be enough to understand/follow everything IMO.

Definitely recommend watching a catch up YouTube vid before KH3 so you know what the heck is going on. For me, KH3 was just more KH on a modern platform, so I think you'll enjoy this if you enjoyed the first two.

I don't think KH3 is a bad game (even though I personally think the story is a convoluted mess) but I do think is the weakest out of all 3 main ones. There's not much Final Fantasy left, KH is not pretty much it's own Disney thing now so if you expect to go in and get some FF nostalgia, you'll be disappointed with how little there is.

I've pretty much given up on hoping they would go back to their fan service roots and just play the game for what it is now.

Well, your problem is that you are playing the 9th game in the trilogy (oh the irony).

This article probably breaks it down nicely on what is core and what isn't: https://monstervine.com/2019/02/kingdom-hearts-games-you-nee…

      Here is their breakdown:
      Kingdom Hearts (Necessary)
(Re:) Chain of Memories (Necessary, though cutscenes can be watched if not played)
      Kingdom Hearts II (Necessary)
358/2 Days (Skippable game, cutscenes should be watched)
      Birth By Sleep (Necessary)
      Re: Coded (Skippable)
      Dream Drop Distance (Necessary)
      Fragmentary Passage (Skippable)
Back Cover/Union Cross (Skippable game, story should be read-up on)

even the necessary parts is a good 500 hour+ of game play haha

  • FF7 DLC I've seen it go down to this price a couple of times, no price history on dekudeals so not sure if it's been lower before.

It's included within FF7 Remake Intergrade on PS+ Extra if you have that. Might even be cheaper than $22.46 to upgrade remaining PS+ time and get access to it and 400 games.

    • I'd rather not get access to the library for a month for less when I can buy the game and let it rot in my backlog for years. Intermittently picking it up and dropping it after 20mims because I've lost my passion for gaming.

It'll be the 3rd time I buy ff7 remake….still can't make it past an hour.

      • If you don't plan on finishing ff7 remake then don't bother buying the DLC. It's a very short chapter, you can just YouTube it.

        • Ohhh I misread, thought this was intergrade. Hadn't even realised there was a short DLC, thought the price was too good to be true.

          Welps ignore my comment then.

        • Yuffie was hella fun to play though

  • Waiting for a deal on the Kingdom Hearts All in One. It's been under $40 in the past, currently $160!

Worth noting that all-in-one doesn't include the Re Mind DLC.

I picked up the physical copy off Amazon a few months back for $42, I think it's a bit over $50 now.

But note if you go down that route you need to buy the US version of the DLC (which is also on sale for $20.99 USD) as the physical copy is a US one.

      • Hmm, interesting that Amazon AU sell the US game.

I'll probably just wait for the digital to get back to $40.

I believe the physical version was never released in AU, but the Amazon stock the US one here which is good.

But yeah definitely wait a bit longer if you're not in a rush, hopefully the digital one goes down again, it's a bit overdue going by last year's sales.
