Hmm not bad but I've seen Lego at 40-50% off regularly, is this really a good deal?
that's probably not the adult sets. normally city / friends / creator 3-in-1 are those discounts.
Take note of the themes that regularly go 40-50% off, they're not as popular.
15% is ok. The Police Station has been 25% off at Myer at least once (maybe only once) in the 18 months it's been out.
But if you can get the 15% extra cards at Coles and use them, that's about 28% off the Police Station. Very good.
You don't get 40-50% off modulars (Police Station, Boutique Hotel) or the Haunted House. You are right on the 25%, however Myer has some exclusivity with the modulars given the other majors don't stock them, so you rarely get better than 20% off.
Lego prices will increase after August.
How come?
Inflation. E.g. cost of materials, cost of shipping. Lego has made it clear over the last few months that plenty of sets would raise in price in August.
@douglasabailey: More like greed. Inflation at 20-25%? I can't wait for sales to slow down. Either that or retailers will have to offer regular 30% off on modulars, Ideas, bigger technic sets.
