[NSW] Help Me Find a Place to Fix an Old iPhone 3GS

I’m desperately looking for a place to fix my 13 year old iPhone 3gs that doesn’t turn on but show up the apple logo over and over again when charging but never has enough energy to work normally and I wanted to export important notes kept within my phone so is there a shop where I can fix it as soon as possible? (somewhere near 2170 area)

  • There's at least one, if not multiple phone repair shops inside every major shopping centre…

    • alright, I’m hoping that at least one or a few would still repair my smartphone especially at shopping centres or independently owned businesses.

        So call them?

        • yep I called a few stores but they told me they don’t repair old phones

2170 is around Liverpool - there's stacks of repair shops around there! And if no luck, then go to Cabramatta where you'll probably find the highest concentration of phone repair shops..

    • based on his past posts he is around Fairfield area so cabra will probably be best.

When you do bring it back to life, backup your notes!

The fix might be more than the value of the phone

    • Damn its 13 years old. Can't possible see how it wouldnt be!

it's the battery. it needs replacing.

    it's a relatively straightforward swap.

here's a link on how to replace the battery

replacement battery from ebay $25.90 delivered

    • that seems true, although I’m not capable of reviving a device on my own. So the battery could need replacing and I’m satisfied that it is the only issue that needs to be resolved.

      • If it’s beyond the battery it’s time to bin it and get a new phone

How is it that the phone is 13 years old and you don't have a back up of the porn important notes?

  • They used to be parent’s phone until they got a new better one so it was my first phone for a few years when I upgraded to an iPhone 8.

I'm pretty sure you could buy a newer, better phone for less than the price of repair.
