Recommendation Cheap International Roaming Plans that support eSim

I made the mistake of porting to Dodo while overseas, and found that they don't support international roaming. I have a local sim, so am just looking for a barebones plan that I can receive SMS on; while redirecting calls to my local (new zealand) sim.

Ideally with an eSim so I can port away from dodo quickly and regain the ability to receive calls / messages.

Don't really care for the international "day rate" roaming price.. only the monthly access component. Don't plan on receiving roaming calls using my .au number; just forwarding them from Australia.

    Try vodafone or amaysim($10) pay-as-you-go plan. Amaysim has an esim and $10 to keep it active for a year. You can receive SMS internationally and can purchase plan accordingly.

    Not sure if Coles do eSim but someone will have something like that where you pay once and have an active service for a whole year is worth looking into.

        Neither eSim which is what OP wants but was a suggestion to look into the long expiry plans rather than just monthly ones.

    felix mobile - first month free - $20 1 year roaming - pause the main service up to 242 days,
    when paused, you can continue to use any International Roaming

      Great. I didn’t know you could pause it. So if I pause after 5 days, when I am back in Australia after 3 weeks, and restart, then would I get remaining 25 days? Or just 4 days ?
