Flip Insurance - Snowboarding Insurance for $9/Week

Hi All.

I was looking at insurance for a snow trip to Queenstown in August and started getting ads for this - https://www.getflip.com.au/

The "too good to be true" sirens are definitely going off but keen to hear if anyone has used them before?

I couldn't see any red flag from the PDS other than it being really cheap. I guess the payout isn't crazy high so maybe that's it?

I can see a big red flag on the PDS, only cover for $2k, with a Snowboarding injurie, that probably pay off your ambulance bill, hoping you don't need a air lift :)

  The ambulance would be free in New Zealand for Australians though.. so you better hope the air lift is under 2k.

    Australian visitors to New Zealand are not entitled to publicly funded emergency transport by ambulance.

I'm not sure how you use this insurance effectively.

So basically you break your leg, an ambulance comes at the cost of $1000.

I received a message from them, they pay cash and you can use that money for the ambulance if you want.

So $200 off a $1000 ambulance.. hmm
