Help with Robotic Vacuum Selection $600- $700

Hey All,

Need some assistance in finding a robo vacuum for a 2bdr apartment - split level but will only need to handle downstairs.

  • Hardwood Floors
  • No rugs in our house
  • Need some obstacle detection - dog toys, cables, etc etc
  • Don't care too much on mopping ability
  • Would love auto empty base but if my price limit doesn't allow it I'm happy to forgo that functionality - Also if I can add one down the line for a few hundred dollars that would be great
  • Dog is an oodle mix so he doesn't shed
  • Noise doesn't bother me
  • Ideally should be able to navigate between chairs and under couch

My price limit is between $600-$700 - Keen to hear any sugestions people have - Thanks in advance!

  • Maybe Roborock Q7 - 20% off winter stock brings it down to $719 if you're okay to stretch slightly over budget.

No auto empty dock included, but can be added later.

  • Roidmi eve plus

  • ive gotthe lx10. These are fantastic in general, even better considering the price.

Have had mine for 2 years and been run for at least 1 hour per day.

The only downside is that the app has a few quirks.

  • I have a first gen xiaomi vac. Bed is around 12cm off the ground, and only just makes it, just. (if im lying on the bed, it wont work)

Need some obstacle detection - dog toys, cables, etc etc

Just to clarify, obstacle detection is bump based, with the lidar slowing down the unit as it gets close to objects.

Dog toys, it would run into them, and either push them into something like a wall, then push around it (as it does with my door stop)

Cables - if its high enough, it will go under it. However if it grabs the end of a USB cable, it pulls the power adapter off the bed side table, and anything that was on the table in front of it.
