Whaaaaaaaat? A professional mountain biker with six world championship wins and ten national championship wins is better than a non-professional mountain biker? Shocker. What a hot take, I'm totally got. You got me. Next you'll be telling me that Daley Cherry-Evans wearing trackky daks would outplay me on the footy field even if I was wearing a professional player's kit. I am just… I'm floored. You really just got me so good. God, what an insightful take on the quality of this product.

          sorry was being cheeky af

  • Probably only full weight but not full benefits of dual suspensions.

You'll get laughed at if you take this to a mtb trail.

I don't think that MTB people would laugh at you but they'd definitely tell you it's a bad idea to ride it down anything but the most gentle of trails.

    Full-suspension MTB with a freewheel?
7-speed could be a cassette, but the lack of detailed specs is a big warning sign.

I know bike prices have gone up, but can you still get a decent hardtail for this price? Better than a crappy soft-tail.

    • How good is the one you linked to?

      • I was just going by the paper specs, it looks ok, entry level MTB. Depends what you want. Too good for 5km commute :-)

I think you'd want a bigger budget before considering full suspension. The Schwinn is heavy, but probably not up to very rough treatment.
People used to say the same about front suspension: if on a low budget, go without it. But times have changed.

        • How does it compare to the Decathlon ones?

  • They say "there are no bad products, only bad prices".

    Well this is both.
