Once these are gone, they are gone!

Tasting Notes
Winemaker: Shane Harris, Winestate Magazine Winemaker of the Year 2014, 2016 & 2020.

Vintage: The 2018 growing season started slowly, but warmer weather eventually helped to speed things up. Fruit set throughout the region was good and the low rainfall and warm weather from January to April resulted in great sugar development, while a cooler than average March offered ideal night temperatures for colour and flavour development.

Nose: The nose offers a big bouquet of raspberries and cherries with a dash of pepper and other spices.

Palate: The palate is big, rich and seductive with the berry fruit following through, complemented by a hint of minerality and great structure on the lingering finish.

  • Thanks for the deal RD, Ordered 2. You guys have been producing some outstanding drops lately!

    • Thanks Guesty - we try our best! Enjoy the drops. Cheers! RD :-)

  • I bought some of the 1.5, 3 and 6 litre bottles previously. Very happy with my purchases and am back for some more. Paid via Paypal and it has been flagged as 'pending'?

    • +2

Thanks Dr! That occasionally happens with Paypal but no idea why. It always resolves itself within 24 hrs without either you or I doing anything. Hang tight, it'll come good. Have a great weekend! Cheers! RD :-)

      • Same issue. Weird. Might want to ask PayPal about that, OP.

        • As I said, it resolves itself within 24hrs without any intervention on anyone's part. It's a Paypal matter at the end of the day. If you wish to take it up with them, please do. Cheers! RD :-)

          • @RD ADL: I suggested you consider looking into it because to me it implied that there might be an issue, such as a trust issue, with your site and/or operations. If there is such an issue, presumably you'd want to resolve that issue. And if there isn't such an issue, then you might want to deal with the PayPal glitch that implies that perhaps there is.

@dwarves: Thanks for your concern. We take dozens of Paypal transactions per day. Most process immediately. A few, mainly from OzBargain promotions, get caught up in the internal processes of Paypal. I'll leave you to draw inferences of trust or otherwise. I don't intend to waste my team's time on it to be frank for an issue that resolves itself quickly without intervention. Cheers! RD

EDIT: 1513hrs - most are processing or processed.

@RD ADL: Sweet passive aggressive reply to a bro who was just trying to help. Cheers!

                • +1

@dwarves: Sorry you felt that way. Was simply trying to reassure you twice that there really isnt an issue, as subsequently borne out by the fact this exchange has taken longer than the processing of the payments. Cheers! RD

      • Payment now showing as 'complete'.

  • Woot! Ordered - love it!!

    • Thank you! RD :-)

    Great deal ๐Ÿ‘

  • Dammit, too slow, all gone

    • That's what my wife says when I open one of these

  • No more left!

Sorry guys - they went super quick. To those who purchased thank you. To those who didn't get a chance, sorry but that's it for those :-)
    More deals soon.
    Cheers!

Appears to be available for purchase without discount so not really out of stock (they were happy to apply FREESHIP2022 and send it to me with free shipping) but rather a very limited promotion deal to get people in?

      • Hi GRP. Youโ€™re correct it is available at full price. We had excess stock on the 3L (and previously 1.5L and 6L). Thereโ€™s been a few previous promotions on OZB on all three formats. The stock we made available today was excess to what we need, it sold and what we have left meets our ordinary course of business needs without selling out completely and having to arse around bottling small amounts of 3L bottles. What accelerated sales today was that people were ordering up to 12 bottles each. Unprecedented demand for them perhaps based on previous experience. Cheers! RD :-)

        • And you followed me up with spam to complete my order.

          Caveat Emptor.

          • @GRP: haha. One or two automated abandoned cart emails. Don't worry you can hit delete. Cheers! RD :-)

            • @RD ADL: You are so funny. Not..

              • @GRP: Get to know me better, life and soul.
                Happy Sunday
                Cheers! RD :-)

Release the 6L methuselas for the true degenerates :)

    • hahahaha - watch this space, let me see. RD :-)

  • Damn too slow ๐Ÿ˜ž. This is a beautiful wine!

    • +3

Hopefully there's another time on the 6Ls….maybe…. RD :-)

  • Thanks RD been buying a few recently. Been meaning to find out when the new BH Sauv Blanc is out? The last one was so easy drinking and I've missed it recently. I heard Sept somewhere.

    • +1

September is likely, though it may/may not happen.
Reds going to bottle as we speak for the last few weeks.
