Masters of The Universe (MOTU) Figurines - Collecting (and Playing :-D)

I bought 3 MOTU figures at this years Prime Day sale
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/712423

I must admit its spiralled into a bit of nostalgia for me - I loved He-Man toys as a child. After buying off Amazon, I hunted and found some of my old 80s figures, which are well worn out.

My daughter is playing with them now. She is loving She-Ra so I ordered her a figure from eBay which came with Hordak (bonus!) - but, flip not cheap.

I'm wondering, in order to find bargains, are there any places besides eBay, Gumtree etc I should be looking at for MOTU new or old figurines?
USA eBay seems to have them for good prices, but the shipping charge ruins it. Flip, often more than the toy is worth.

Any other people liking these things enough to buy here on OzBargain?

I had a heap of these as a kid, I wonder if they're still stashed somewhere? Had most of the figures, the castle play set thing, the big cat etc.

      Castle Grayskull and Battle cat?
You should watch “the toys that made us” on Netflix
      S1E3

      • Yeah, that sounds familiar. Might check that out, thanks.

  • You can look into the MOTU pop vinyls.

Apart from the original releases (which cost a shitload), there's plenty of newer sets that are cheap right now.

    • Thanks - I only really like the old style 5.5 inch figures. New or old, don't care, just the type.

    • Yeah it is legit. Based overseas and you may or may not get charged GST when it comes through customs. Delivery cost almost kills some figures.

      Anywhere else people are buying?

      • Amazon mainly. eBay if it’s not overpriced

        • Yeah mostly they are, well lately they are. Got some from JB recently and BBTS and ok pricing.

@colaman: Never seen them in a JB store - but did see them at their website

Make a MOTU amazon list - then check every other day for when they come on sale. Picked up a few bargains. some so good I resold them to put $$$s into other figures

            • @Skullytor: I have an ongoing list so do a few things like this already. Best way to keep track. Let's say I am forever looking and hoping.

              • @colaman: Ram Man Origins for $20 was a steal of a deal

this isnt bad for someone starting out their collection: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08X91NWKC

                • @Skullytor: Yep, I got him when he was $12. Was it here or Toymate? Can't remember now.

Spewing that I passed up Greyskull when it was 79 though. Did pickup from Amazon at some stage the double pack of Keldor and Kronis for $30. That was pretty good I thought.
