Brulo Non Alcoholic Beers 330ml 24-Pack $39.95 + Delivery ($0 to WA in July) @ Shift Lanes Drinks

61

Brulo Non Alcoholic Beers for $39.95 a case (24pk). Some retailers are selling for over $90 a case, so definitely a bargain!

There is the Centenial IPA and DDH IPA for sale.

They're located in WA, but ship Australia wide. Not had any issues with them so far.

Mod note: OP has Sockpuppet as they failed to declare association when posting.

    What's the sugar content like?

I have found with most non-alcoholic beers the sugar levels are much higher than regular beers

    • Not to sure. I'm waiting on my order to arrive. But being IPAs I would assume there's not too much sugar like the Carlton Zero etc.

I've had other non alcoholic IPAs and they don't have as much sugar as the commercial style beers.

Bricklane Brewing gave them away for free just recently.

Same ones? These are imported out of Holland or Belgium I think? I know I got the free 4pk of the Sidewinder from Bricklane.

      • -2

Not same but who cares, they are alcohol free.

Junior beers, start the kids early.

    • Doing dry july. My 8 year old walked up to me and asked, while i was drinking a great northern 0:
"Dad, is there any alcohol in them?"
      Me: "Nope"
8 year old: "Can i have one then?"

Am I the only one who thinks the prices on these no-alcohol beers seem a bit nuts?

  • +9

I think no alc beer should be same price as coke cans.

Beer is cheap to make. And no alc means no tax so it should continue to be cheap.

  • +2

Speaking with some brewers around me apparently they have to go through the normal brewing process and then have to remove the alcohol so for many it is not worth it, even with tax removed…

  • No shipping to NSW!

What about via the Tasman Sea?

    • I'm in WA and every address I put in I get a message that the address is invalid… think Shopify may be having issues.

      • Strange as I ordered just before posting this.

Looks like it's resolved itself - thanks for the post OP!

    • I'm sure they post Aus wide. Unless due to shipping issues.

  • We don't talk about Brulo…

Has anyone ever tasted a non alcoholic beer that is lets say 90% like the real deal ?I have tasted some that are around the 70% ..in the almost palatable range at about double the price of a regular beer.. but never ever had I tasted one and gone now this I can drink ..not just beer.. any non alcoholic version of a regular alcoholic beverage.. well I think only wine, gin and beer versions are out so far no one has dabbled in vodka or any of the brown spirits..or at least I have never tasted one

    • I really like the ones I got for free from Bricklane Brewing, the Passionfruit XPA. I just looked for an alternative to Kombucha and Pepsi max. It’s ok for free but I wouldn’t bother buying it and spending big bucks on it.

      • I got their free 4pk of Sidewinder and wasn't a fan to be honest. Tasted quite artificial to me. There are other great sours in the non alc, but not cheap. Strawberry Sublime from an east coast and Big Shed Brewings Hellweise is very very tasty.

    • I've tasted a heap this month, Lyres have pretty much every "spirit" covered, and their premix drinks are spot on for flavour.

They are never going to be a 100% match on flavour, but they are getting better year on year. Beers are probably more advanced over wine or spirits, but the rest will catch up eventually.

      • Never heard of these guys.. and you are right they seem to cover the whole lot ..well even the premixed section has quite a range..which one did you find close to the real deal ?

        • The wife loves the Amalfi Spritz in a can. I tried the malt and coke at a tasting, and it was pretty good for what it is. Smelt like a bourbon and tasted like a bourbon and coke.

      • +1

Are these the ones in Woolies? Tried a few different ones when they first started stocking them, the G&T was alright from memory. Will have to try the Amalfi

        • Wife got the Amalfi from Shiftlanes a few months ago, and she loves it, so now she buy the big bottle.

Not cheap for alcohol free beer, maybe at half this price I'd consider.

    • +1

Why the neg? Because it's expensive? I mentioned the same beers are selling for $90+ so these are technically half price.

      • Expensive for alcohol free beers regardless of the RRP

        • So a neg just because alc free beers are expensive?
