      • I assume you owned on previously?

        • See I am the opposite, I find the secretlab chairs really good. Mine is 3 years old now, still comfy to use. My only complaint is that they are a little on the deep side, but overall super happy with it.

        • Sitting on one right now. Have owned two.

Is fine, but after using an ergo chair at work for a few years (precovid), secretlab is terrible for ergonomics.

These guys sell chairs and are brutally honest (they even rated their own chair c-tier)

Gamers nexus video on gaming chairs

Also secret lab have an ergo chair called Neue.
Its literally just a chinese chair gtchair marrit, which they just rebrand.

I can tell you the only people who think secretlab are good are those who moved to secretlab from an officeworks chair.

Most gaming chairs, if not all, aren't in the same league as task chairs by Herman Miller, Haworth and Steelcase.

This is not a discount. This place always sells their stock for $450, and the majority of the stock is very well used.

  • Imagine paying $450 for a chair that's been farted on everyday for years…

The seat is mesh material, fart particles and trace fecal matter pass through the mesh and into the workers noses and lungs instead.

Bought 2 of these chairs for $100 each on Gumtree. Were in perfect condition and after 3 years, still going strong. I find them more comfortable than the more $$$ Aeron chair.

    • I agree though to be fair the Aeron chairs I have used had either no lumbar support or the old pad style

    • Key words are "after 3 years".
Bought a couple on eBay in March 2020 for $130 piece. Have seen comments they were even cheaper before covid.
Bought 3, sold 1 recently to cover the full cost.

  • $750 = absurd
$450 passable in WA, not elsewhere

  • +2

The whole idea of buying these chairs is that they can be repaired for free, imputed into the cost.

If there is only 1 month warranty, you are probably better just buying something from officeworks.

  • Would suggest going to the warehouse and looking at the chairs first -

    also check the date-

also bring a seat cover for the cushions on other chairs as some have small rips.

way too expensive. this is not a deal, considering these are available for $200 on gumtree or ebay.

Picked one of these chairs up probably 4+ years ago used for $150 from an office, drove 2.5 hours to get it

Got it home, gave it a good clean, wipe over etc

Absolutely love it and still use it, I can sit at it all day if I want, great in summer too because of the air circulation underneath.

Definitely scored when I got it

great price for a chair of this caliber. I think it's perfect if you want to get into the better quality of chair category

    looks funny without armrest though

  • +5

$450 is normal price when I went to their warehouse last time. I bought 2 chairs and a wooden cabinet from them when the Haworth chair deal was posted. One of the chairs I bought was a Ergohuman Elite v1 for $200.

  • Too small for my butt

    Free delivery to St Kilda?

  • +1

Imagine how many farts these would have absorbed over the years

    • +3

I wish expensive chairs like the Aeron etc would have a fart-counter so you could compare, let's s ay a zero-fart chair to a 4500 fart chair and price accordingly.

  • +6

    Crap for the price.

  • How much would it cost to put arms on it?

    • An arm and a leg.

      • +1

"Well, if it isn't my old friend, Mr. McGreg! With a leg for an arm, and an arm for a leg!"

  • for that price i would rather get a recliner couch

  • +6

preowned, many prewowned on ebay and gumtree for 200-300.

    not good deal.

This is just a advertisement for the retailer, after they probably marked up to a fake price of $750, to then give a 40% discount to $450

  • Preowned, I bite if it was new :-)

  • Are these all the ex virgin ones that were getting sold? I picked one up from Grays for $150 at the time, perfect condition

    • I suspect these chairs from NAB old Bourke Street office.

  • +5

heaps of preowned on FB marketplace and gumtree for a cheaper price! this is advertising!
