Dali Oberon 7 Home Theatre Package - Is This a Good Deal at $5900?

Hello everyone,

I was ringing a few places for a 5.1.2 Home Theatre package and got this deal from Clef HiFi. Is this a good deal or do anyone think there are better options at this price range - would honestly appreciate some opinions.

Front Speakers: Dali Oberon 7
Centre Speaker: Dali Oberon Vocal
Surround Speakers: Dali Oberon 1
Height Speakers: Dali Alteco C1
Subwoofer: Dali Sub E-12F
Receiver: Denon AVC-X3700H

Total package for $5900

  Not yet - but got an appointment fixed for the weekend, albeit without the alteco height speakers.

    Yeah, price is one thing but if your ears don't like them then that's fairly pointless.

  Have bought stuff from clef before they usually give a discount better than the advertised price

  I'd personally pay a little extra for KEF or Polk.

  KEF Q750 fronts
  Q950 centre
  Q150 surrounds (you dont need expensive speakers for this, an older 2nd hand pair will do fine)
  Q50a Heights (I prefer in-ceilings if possible)
  SVS PB-1000 Pro subwoofer
  Denon X-3700H

    I agree.
    But do listen and compare Dali with Kef speakers, I have Kef q350 and they sound great.

  Have owned Dalis, B&W's and Jamos.

  What i found was that name brands aren't that vital, its about how it sounds and the size of the drivers that really made a difference, general physics won out in my case with full range Jamos sounding better than Dali's and B&W's which were constrained with 6" mids and no dedicated bass drivers.

  By the way, listened to the below Monitor Audio configuration on the weekend and thought they sounded good. Given the MA is a few thousand dollars less compared to the Dali / KEF, I am eager to find out what they got to offer and how these compare :)
