nbn Issue - All Phone Line Got Disconnected

Applied tpg . Nbn ok for one day and no more services . Nbn tech come and can't fixed it but disconnect all my other telephone socket to my main socket . I'm not able to connect them back as the telephone line got cut from few different pieces in different area as well.

Finally I cancelled Tpg but they don't help to follow up to connect all lines back to my main .

Any advise ? Try to call nbn but they said I need to contact the internet services provider

  • Which NBN RSP did you move to after TPG?

  • I thought once NBN gets connected in your area the phoen line will be cut off in 6 months? You will lose your line very soon anyway..

    • It was 12 months and then with covid it was extended and I have no idea what it is now, but as soon as you get NBN the wire cutters come out is my understanding.

  • Your phone connect directly to the router for NBN. No phone line

  • It is generally NBN or Phone, not both :/

Some RSPs have "phone" options via the NBN ports though …

  • +1

I developed a headache from trying to read that. Thanks.

  • if you had Fttn the tech did the right thing. having multiple phone sockets was most likely causing a bridge tap thus drop outs. NBN are responsible only for the NBP thus most likely your first phone socket,. simply plug your phone base into the green telephone port on the back of your modem. if you want the other sockets connected too then get a registered cabler to reconnect them in way that they are separated so they don't interfere with the first socket.
