Anyone Returned SIM to Boost Mobile Who Got Refunded?

I made a purchase on Boost Mobile website, was going through Cashrewards deal, But I think I forgot to disable the Adblock.

So I contacted boost on trying to cancel that order. Boost says they have no way at all of cancelling orders. Instead told me I can contact my bank to cancel order. Made purchase through Revolut (who wont budge on cancelling transaction unless I had given them a letter from merchant stating weird random $h!t (stuff that boost mobile would never budge to do).

Other thing Boost told me was I can return the SIM and get refunded. I followed their procedure of returning the SIM, and they got the sim back. Upon contacting them again about it 5 days after returned SIM card delivery. They told me they'll take 30 days to refund money. IDK about you but this is a bit insane and over the top.

Boost Mobile also has very conflicting information when contacting them over phone vs on live chat. e.g. They told me over phone they booked someone to come to my home to pick up the SIM card (for return) vs over live chat (who gave me link to something like returns.auspost.com.au and gave me reference number which I put on Auspost website and got a prepaid label issued, used that to send the SIM back to Boost).

Boost mobile keeps saying now you'll get your refund, its just taking time, the warehouse/returns receiving team will issue you a refund soon etc BS. (I am out of SIM and out of money paid for the order as well)

Is it really that bad now with Boost Mobile? To be honest having no hopes of Boost actually giving refund. Only option seems to be chargeback with Revolut.

I mean this whole crap wouldn't have had happened if Boost actually had a way to cancel the order at first place, But they do not, or if they do then their employees are really bad and not doing their job properly.

  • How much was the Cashreward?

    • 100% cashback of purchase amount

      • which was?

        • It's either $30 as per the 40 GB 28 day Sim or they have a special and have it for $10 currently.

I'm baffled you went through all this trouble for such a small amount. Also once you make the order they are not required to refund you for change of mind regardless of how unfair you may view it.

          • @JoeBogan: they assured me that I can return the sim and get refunded the full amount.

If they had said no refund no return etc. at least I'd know that I can keep the sim. But not in this case

            • @USER DC: Yeah that's definitely on them but still, I dunno I wouldn't bother going through the trouble for $30 especially if it involves so much hassle. But hey that's just me

  • are really bad and not doing their job properly.

I forgot to disable the Adblock

my failure to turn on adblock has absolutely nothing to do with boost mobile's return process

      • Karen, are you sure they even accept returns for SIM cards?

Not every retailer allows you to cancel orders. People like you are why it takes a while to dispatch orders.

        • Well yes they said yes they do, I didn't use the sim or even open package.

@USER DC: Did you get it in writing? It's just your word against theirs because someone didn't bother to read the T&C's.

  • Revolut chargeback so quick,

Had all documentation available of Boost live chat delaying, and not really initiating refund anytime, instead keep no insisting refund will be done later etc.

Got Chargeback paid within like 1 hour. Pretty glad with Revolut's Mastercard Chargeback policy.
