Complimentary Entertainment Book for donating a substantial amount to a charity?

Howdy, I was told ages ago by a friend (who has left overseas) that she used to receive complimentary Entertainment Books for donating a substantial amount to a couple of charities such as the Red Cross. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks!

  • I know that some of the (less honest?) people who organise the sales get free books. Like people on the p&f of a school who do the organising get some sort of spoils.

I don;t like it, because if you allege to be helping your group, you should sell those books for the group, even if they were free.

You should give and see what happens

I don't see how someone who has organised to sell the books can be deemed to be "less honest" for receiving a free book. It's not like they are taking it from the stock they have been given to sell and alleging that it got lost or stolen etc.

  • Your friend was probably able to go overseas because the free books she got was worth thousands on the market?

FFS….if you don't want to receive a gift for doing a good job raising money then feel free but please don't label others less honest.
