Hi I want a cheap thermos for my son to take to school

Hi, my 11 year old wants to take warm soup to school, so I need to get a cheap thermos, where I can buy a couple so I have a spare at home just in case he looses the lid or something goes wrong. Any suggestions thanks

    If it's for soup, I can highly recommend the Aladdin Micro Lunch Bowl…I have one of these for soups & casseroles etc…it's awesome! You can open the lid & microwave it in the morning, then just screw the lid on the hot food & it stays hot til lunchtime!

    IIRC BigW still sells them for under $20! :)

        Yep, actually after about 4hrs the soup is at perfect eating temperature! Beats the office lunchtime microwave lineup! :)

    Aldi has cheap ones right at the moment. Not sure how long they will last. They are $6.99 I think and have both food thermoses and regular drink thermoses for that price. They are just plain silver, you might want something more colourful for a kid though.

    thanks, my 11 year old doesn't have a microwave at school, but will drop down to Aldi and check out there one, as he want to start doing it this week, thanks again

    My mother used to make soup for me to bring to school back when I was in Primary school. We used these types of Thermoses http://www.greendemon.com.au/images/thermosfood0.47L.jpg and it would still be warm at lunch time. My dad bought some cheap ones and it was not worth it.
