Phillips AVENT Bottles Discounts Real or Inflated?

We are looking into buying some baby stuff, as we are expecting a baby in February. We looked at Big W and liked the Phillips Avent stuff. Now it seems that they are “on sale” at the same price literally everywhere, specifically the 260ml 4 x pack.

The RRP for this product is different everywhere. Can anyone shed some light on whether these are true discounts or just inflated RRPs everywhere? Not familiar with these products, and big w has a sale on literally every single avent product claiming 30-50% off.

Thanks!

  • Big W currently have an all-things-baby sale

Amazon indicates an RRP of $39.95, but historical data shows that it spent most of its time priced at $28 or lower. So $28 seems to be a better benchmark than the RRP.

    • Awesome, thanks. This gives a good perspective of it!

They will most likely go on sale several times a year. Seems like an okay price. There’s certain baby things to only buy when on sale e.g. Bonds stuff needs to be minimum 40% off.

One thing to note with bottles is that not all babies will take all types of bottles so don’t over invest in any particular brand until you know. Some will be fine and just take anything. Some will only take certain shaped teets. Other bottles help with colic. Same with dummies. We were lucky with dummies he went with the first brand we tried. Wasted stacks of money on bottles, never took a single one, weaned to water from a sippy cup once old enough. Same with nappies irrespective of cloth or disposable, different brands suit different babies and parents and you really won’t know until you try. So don’t stock up on any one brand until you know.
