Fake Amazon Seller - Can I Get Refund?

I bought Viva Double Length Paper Towel, 12 Count (Pack of 1) from maryfilleryhelen1703 on Amazon in early May (2022). It was scheduled for delivery between 15/06/22 to 21/06/22. Still have not received it and when I checked seller reviews today, I saw quite a few negative reviews saying "Item never got delivered".

Does Amazon have any buyer protection like eBay? I have tried "Problem with Order > Package didn't arrive" but it has not been 48 hours since the seller was contacted. Just trying to see what my options are.

      I have initiated a chat session but I was able to post this on OzB and the "Getting help…." thing is still doing a spinny on me 😂

          Amazon customer service on chat has come back with a standard response "Please allow seller 2 business days to respond. No worries, the seller will get back with a solution." Guess I have to wait and then contact customer service again via chat at the same time on Wednesday!

    ozbargain support will help
    send me you email, password, mother's madien name, mobile number, dob, tax file number, bank details, credit card, number on the back

    but never give whether you are male, female or non binary, that's personal details, never share that on online, don't want you to get scammed

    Happened to my friend and they got a refund. Interestingly, their fake seller had a really long name as well, so long I believe it wouldn't even fit on the screen.

    Amazon will require you to wait for the seller to respond, but once they don't Amazon will sort it out & you'll get a refund.

  • just wanted to let you know i got the same thing with the exact same item like 2 months a go

    The seller actually changed the date on me and made it 2 months in the future, so i had to wait 2 months and 3 days past delivery date to get my A-Z refund

    did you happen to get a USPS tracking number, that's when i knew i was screwed as this seller didn't have any feedback when i bought it

    now i know.. just wait for Amazon to have it in stock and buy from them

    PS - when i explained to amazon about them changing the delivery date to 2 months in the future, amazon support gave me a $15 credit and let me keep the refund when i got it ( actually only last week and i bought the item in june )

    eventually they will probably close their account or amazon will close it and you'll get an email about it and how you'll get a refund etc

    seems there is a lot of scam sellers in the paper towel and the toilet paper items on Amazon, also i hope no one buys the Quilton 45/48 packs for $50, just wait till early the following week and amazon will restock their supply and you can get it for $19
