Any Active Gift Card Discount? (to Purchase MacBook Pro)

I am planning to buy a MacBook Pro for around $3500 either in Amazon or Officeworks (I am not sure if other stores will match their price or not).

To make deal better, I am planning to pay it using gift card which would give me extra 5-10% discount. I have been waiting for more than 1 week now but could not find any such gift cards.

Any one knows any such gift cards with discount active deals?
or
any other methods I can use or any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

  • JB hifi GC deal is coming up starting tomorrow @ Woolworths (ultimate GC's), and so is amazon GC deal coming soon @ BigW

    • thanks but jbhifi is selling it for around 3700$ for same thing (office work and amazon has 10% discount). do you have any idea if jbhifi will match that and I can use 3500$ gift card, if it is jbhifi card maybe?
      thank you.

      • They can normally do price match (depending on each store).

Try giving your local a call and tell him about this Price match policy. See if they help ya out. If not then wait for then you may wait out for amazon gift card deal from Big W in 2 days

There should be no issue price matching office works IMO, amazon can get tricky with some stores to price match (because it aint a brick & motor store)

do you have any idea if jbhifi will match that

        why not ask them?

  • You can just use the Apple education online store to get a few hundred off the RRP: https://www.apple.com/au-hed/store

    Purchase online, pickup in-store.

    • If you buy the Apple GC from Coles today, you also get about 9.xx% as Flybuy points!

thank you. But no, since their educational store's price is even more than 10% discounted price at amazon and office work. So, no use of that educational store gimmick as usual. And RRP in the official site is always higher than retail price. I think it is for government's contracts maybe.lol.

      • Because they are expecting M2 to release so they try to clear out old M1 stock.

When the new M2 Macbook Pro drops, you can use the education store to get a discount that you will not be able to get at JB/Officeworks

        • You mean when they release m2 pro or m2 air? you reckon the price will fall?
To be honest I do not follow the apple product prices much so do not have much idea. (what had happened earlier)
