Don’t be fooled by the RRP. Same price at catch

    • +1

RRP looks bullshit yes, but the Camels show a price reduction

And Catch is the same seller

  • $10 more at Anolon, where it is listed as a Clearance item

  • There Amazon store mostly sells stuff on the cheap so this item seems to match the rest of the store.

  • There is also a sale on Anolon at victorias basement - > Link Here

You are right. It's commercial-strength, heavy-duty hard-anodised construction advertised on Amazon.

        • What benefit of anodised aluminium exterior over stainless steel? It feels like a backward step. It is not even induction compatible, and that is the future.

          • @bargaino: All the Anolon "Authority" range is suitable for induction stovetops.

Unfortunately, they have discontinued the "Authority" range now so they are just trying to offload both these saute pan & the Chef's pan at discounted prices which is good for me as I have had the rest of the pots, pans & skillets in this particular model.

        • non-stick vs Stainless Steel

    • I don't get it - is the cooking surface stainless or does it have some unknown non stick coating? And if the latter why isn't it clearly identified?

      • Cooking surface is Teflon, same as all non-stick, whatever words they use. Except seasoned iron or true ceramic - but these are totally different, more sticky.
Do not be fooled by the ridiculous RRP - they must think their customers are stupid.

If you want a stainless steel cooking surface, get the Ikea pan for $30. So yeah, different product as wangsk said, but you may prefer it.

And if the latter why isn't it clearly identified?

They don't say teflon for the same reason they don't say what metal it is made from: Aluminium. Trying to create a mystique?
Don't want (dumb) people to know it uses the same basic materials as a $10 K-mart pan :-) , so they'll pay more money? Obviously did not work if the price is $230 off.

      • Merging metal-utensil-safe non-stick cooking with exceptional food release, the interior of this gourmet-quality cookware features triple-layer PFOA-free premium-quality non-stick

        • My point is it's hidden in their specifications

          • @bargainshooter: I see, the amazon page is clear with the specifications with different images and a section of the pan

  • Pfoa free but not PFAS free. Nice try…
