Which Merchant Category Code (MCC) or retailers are eligible for The Pamper Gift Cards?
I've looked on The Pamper Gift Card: Beauty & Spa Gift Cards and emailed support as well as searching on pamper here.
I was hoping the community could provide quicker answers.
The gift card terms and conditions for the EFTPOS version only mentions the following:
The Pamper Gift Card works on the eftpos payment platform for salons, day spas or beauty clinics that have a merchant category code that corresponds to this industry type. Gift cards are still subject to individual merchant acceptance and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and any applicable law and subject always to the individual trading terms of each participating merchant.’
Looking at the Mastercard MCC QRG, I think the only permitted MCCs are:
I’m not entirely sure if Miscellaneous Personal Services (7299) or Lodging – Hotel, Motels, Resorts (7011) would also be included… I’m sure TCN would give you a more concrete answer than mine.
@spackbace Cheers mate, if I haven't said before, thanks for your responses over the last few years. We may not see eye to eye (and some feedback I'd prefer private or other channels) but it's generally a good comment. It might be an idea though to delete your comment here about EFTPOS as it's incorrect or edit it to reflect that it's limited to salons, day spas or beauty clinics

Just to let you know I haven't used my Pamper gift card yet so I don't know if it's up to date or not nor been in contact with TCN support.
Can anyone else chime in with their feedback?
I’ve also inquired with TCN but haven’t heard back. I wanted to know if it’ll work with my local chiropractor.
@k1vnwng: Can confirm worked at my Chiro and physio in last few months. Been great to get a good discount and use them. Also been using for massage.
@wdw: Cheers mate. Just got a response from TCN today and they quote “ We can only confirm use at day spas and beauty clinics - we would be able to confirm use at other lcoations outside of this I'm afraid.”
I assume she meant we won’t be able to….
@k1vnwng: You have to wonder how they don’t know the MCC codes where it would work in a response, it seems that list above is accurate from my usage.
Guess all you can do is try it. If it declines then use a different card. I also used for haircut and that worked too.
The Chiro and Physio locations I used it at had a HICAPS EFTPOS machine and I just tapped with Apple Pay if that helps. One of our massage places had Square reader and it worked too. We only ever used the wallet version tho not a physical card so not sure if that would change things at all. You can swap to digital on TCN site tho.

I wonder if Activ Spa & Beauty card is similar to this. They do state only the following:
Beauty and Barber Shops (7230),
Health and Beauty Spas (7298), Miscellaneous Personal Services (7299), Lodging – Hotel, Motels, Resorts (7011), Massage Parlours (7297).
I wanted to use the TCN Pamper card for my chiro. No point forking out 500 for it to get rejected. Problem is if I purchase the 100. One session and there’s leftover and I don’t think they will do split payments 😂

Looks like the cards themselves are just EFTPOS cards, so valid anywhere EFTPOS is
