5x Everyday Rewards Points with $50 Spend on Every Shop @ Woolworths (Activation Required - May Exclude Everyday Extra Members)

1460

Seems like a handy offer to get some extra points on your shop. Haven't seen a non-targetted offer like this for a while.

Make sure to Boost the offer in the link to activate it.

  • Boost and enjoy every time you spend $50 or more in a single transaction, in-store or online at Woolworths until Tuesday, 23 August.*
  • Scan your Everyday Rewards Card at checkout or link your card number online.
  • 5x points equals 1 (one) standard Everyday Rewards point and 4 (four) additional Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on your total shop.

This offer stacks with any other offer you're eligible for in your rewards account.

Enjoy :)

We get these all the time and in my experience you are better off overall not activating them and waiting for bonus offers. Multiple accounts also helps. YMMV.

    • any reason not to do both?

      • If you are already on an offer, then by all means, double up. However, if this is the only offer you get, it is better to not activate and wait. Of course, if you go to the shop and don't scan your EDR card but still use your usual debit/credit card to pay, they know you still went to the shop and you still lose.
So, for max value, don't activate, don't scan your EDR card if you still shop and don't pay with your normal card….. I always use gift cards (or go to Coles until I get a good offer). I like to play their game.

Am I the only one that cannot understand what bigspike just said? I'm starting to think my english is terrible.

          • +1

            @juns: I don't get it either.

          • +8

@juns: There's a general idea that if you don't participate with the crappy offers, they will up the ante and give a better offer in future.

I'm personally not certain this still works and I'm not sure how much evidence there is, in the current market, to support the theory.

            • +1

@nismo: Thank you for helping out. Yes indeed. It's working out for me.

              • @bigspike: I don't think this makes a difference.
It's very common for me to have multiple offers active. Especially in the weeks before christmas I sometimes ended up with 3-4 different offers and getting like 7-11x points per shop for a while.

            • +1

              @nismo: Thanks, that's the context I'm missing.

              • +1

@juns: I'm about 15% up in rewards dollars so far this year. Spent about 3500 at Woolies and have over 400 rewards dollars redeemed.

            • @nismo: Seem to work with flybuys for me but my woolworths offers have been nonexistent or terrible. I think it may be because I get the 10% off per month with the account linked to my TPP insurance.

              • @craigoss: You need more accounts.

              • @craigoss: Also yet to see any EDR offers, it's been a while. I just shop at ALDI instead then. Don't know if there's any validity in the claims of being tracked by use of card payment alone. Likely not I'd like to think, and most definitely not when paid by mobile wallet as that uses a one time unique generated card for just that transaction.

    targeted.
I didn't get this, instead I got 5x points at Big W, which is shit.

    • +2

It's not targeted, you have to activate it manually in the link in the OP.

      • -3

I didn't received this email, nor it showed up in my EDR App.
I will still activate it and see if the points add up in my account.

        • Lol. If you login and can activate it, what makes you think it won't work?

          • @nismo: it's different from regular offer activation
I didn't log in, it only ask for my EDR number, not my pw

            • @TanedaR: Your browser and their site has remembered you & decided not to make you re-authenticate just to activate the offer, which is very common. You've at least given your edr so that associates the offer to you.

It's quite common to not need a full login alto activate these things. Happens to me with flybuys & edr all the time (based on my browser usage)

Tldr: you are grasping at straws now

              • @nismo: The boost doesn't show in mine.
However I followed the link and marked to boost

It says active but did not reflect in activated boosts

I'm guessing won't be visible till Weds in the app

    • Not targeted. Stackable with other offers.

    • +2

Also advertised in the upcoming catalogue on page 5, so shouldn't be targeted.

      • +2

I see, perhaps they will push the offer in app on wed then.

        Not an attractive offer anyway
I received Bonus offer of fb 1000pts for every $50 spend in Coles, twice a week for a few weeks now.
In comparison, this offer only gives you 4x$50 = 200 extra points.

extra $1 for $50 spend. Yeah Nah

plus, I found WW is now generally more expensive than Coles after recent inflation.
e.g. Chicken Drumsticks (from the Deli) it's $3/kg at Coles this week, but it's $3.50/kg at WW this week and $4.50/kg next week

  • Targeted: I got 10x for $150 shop.

I literally never run $150 in one shop.

    • Did you sign in after clicking the link provided? If I check my rewards offers I don’t have this deal however if I clicked this link, logged in then went back to the original page and refresh the screen it lets me boost it (towards bottom of page)

  • Does this link with everyday extra?

    • +1

I have Extra and it isn’t working for me. “Unfortunately, this boost offer is t available to you.”

      • +2

Odd. Have extra and worked just fine for me.

      • Doesn't work for me either with Extra.

      • +1

Worked for me and I do have extra

  • +2

"Unfortunately, this boost offer isn’t available to you"

    Anyone else getting this?
I have had not boosters for two weeks now, kind of sucks when im paying for Everyday Rewards Extra 😑

    • +2

Yeah same as me. Also Extra member.

      • +2

Extra seems to be a trap, but it makes sense that the more loyal, the less rewarding.

        • +1

Rewards for Coles and Woolies is a DIS-loyalty system. Those who shop the least get the biggest bonus to come back. The people who go all the time don't need a reward, they are already in the shop.
