Pink slips used to be cheap but not anymore. and there's a deal where you buy new tyres that cost a fortune and then you supposedly pay a 'cheap' pink slip price! NOT! everythiings going up these days. people just look for a way to get a buck or two from you . no-one is a neighbourly good samaritan anymore. blame the economy

Somewhat off-topic, but I really don't think the economy has much to do with it.
'Even'? I wasn't aware that costs were going up really. Every day I see deals here that are cheaper than ever before (particularly when you count CPI).
Cars/Computers/Phones and essentially all manufactured items are so cheap, that basically nothing is a luxury any more it is all common place.

Either you endure a government who indulges in printing money out of thin air and stealing it back by inflation and taxes for every absurd reason or you have a government who enjoys slaughtering its own citizens en mass. I know which system I would prefer, there is no where to run and no where to hide.
How much do people pay for pink slips this year? ~$34 mid-last year for my lemon which I got rid of recently so don't have to pay for pink slip this year…
