Genuine parts for Pajero

If I am looking for genuine parts for my Pajero, is buying off a local dealer the best option? For motorbikes I have ordered from overseas parts that I am not in a hurry for and this is a small part and they want $400 for it locally so wanted to see options.

Do people do this with cars? What are good sites for Mitsubishi?

What's the genuine Mitsubishi part number so we can work out whether an after market part will suffice?

Genuine is good but not always the only or best option. Mitsubishi don't necessarily manufacture the part and the company that does probably also makes the part with a generic label.

      Thanks for reply

It's a little rare, a 2006 three door, the window switch for drivers side.

I can find the four door switches but mine only has two switches as it's the short.wheel base.

      That's why thinking genuine.

  • What parts and why genuine? Some genuine stuff just isn’t built properly.

I’ve found specific forums a good way of finding part suppliers. Eg find a Pajero forum. Otherwise, google is your friend for finding parts. It’s not too hard to search for what you want globally.

Genuine Nissan doorhandles for our pathfinder had a plastic part probe to fail and were twice as expensive as the metal ones I ended up getting.

I purchased stuff from OS for cars. You also need to beware that some parts are LHD specific despite otherwise fitting the same. Got caught with door mirrors for a Forester. Had to butcher the mounts because the angles were wrong for RHD. Headlights are another one, look the same but different beam pattern.

It's for window switch and I have the two door which is rare so the four door doesn't fit.

I am.open to aftermarket had done some googling but all the four door stuff is too common

  • Check PartSouq.
