Not sure if this would count as a deal as it's a specific scenario so posting here instead.

I've been waiting for the Flip 4 after my dog bit my OG Flip and rendered 1/3 of the screen useless.

I managed to get it under $1000 by doing the following.

  • Discount from Education/EPP Store - $1199
  • Trade in my phone that my dog chewed. It has a trade-in value of $1 since the screen is damaged but they gave a bonus $150 trading credit
  • $50 discount from signing up to their mailing list
  • Used BONUSCARE to get Samsung Care+

You can probably get it even cheaper if your phone is in good condition though it might be worth more selling your phone than trading up. The Flip screen would cost $700 to replace so I doubt anyone would have bought it so I figured the $150 bonus credit was more worthwhile for me.

    apparently you need to return your phone within 7 days, how does this work when the flip4 doesn't come out for another 2 weeks. and you don't have a spare phone

      Called up Samsung and its 7 days from when you receive the phone.

            @CyberMurning: I would really call $998.20 "tons of money". Use a Boost 12 month SIM on one of the eBay deals (normally ends up being $240/1 year) and you've got yourself a good phone and service provider.

    Hey guys do you have to trade in a phone now to get the $150 trading credit? I remember for flip 3 we could just use the base trading credit offer but not send any phone back for the additional bonus

      You have to download the app to get the trade in ID which you need to add to the order. I think I read there's a fee if you don't actually send back the phone but some people have been charged and some people haven't. I guess it depends on how lucky you get.
