  • Price:
    AU $514.00 each

I can't see any vouchers or cheaper options

    • Ebay showing coupon (PLFD20) to take 20% off up to $300 for me, so $102.80 discount will be applied with the use of that code.

      • Ah got it.. wasn’t obvious on desktop.. is on app

  • Does anyone here own this table? what's it like? 1500 looking very tempting compared to desky etc…

    • +2

I've got the 1200mm, 120 kg model. Very happy with my purchase. Easy to put together, very sturdy and minimum wobble. Not the quietest, but that's just me being picky.

      • +2

I've got the 1500mm 120kg model, also very happy with it. No wobble, but agreed that it's quite loud when adjusting heights.

        • hahaha nice - thanks for the feedback, don't think I would be too fussed about the sound either, but you both make it sound loud lol! are we talking as audible as a 18v drill here?

          • +1

@kingyr: Don't use drills myself so can't confirm, but doubt it. It's audible and can be slightly annoying, but for that price, the quality and convenience is so worth. Wouldn't pay an extra $200-300 just to get a quieter one.

          • +1

@kingyr: its not loud, while it does sound like an 18v drill, you can hear it but it sounds like the next door neighbour using it

it takes my one 20 seconds to go up to my standing height and 16 seconds to go to seating height

            not irritating by any means

edit: i guess patat and i have different levels of 'thats irritating'

            • @productred: Thanks heaps for the input, sounds good enough to me, especially not having to drop an additional 200-300 more just for it to be a little quieter. Appreciate it!

        • Does this have any wire management section? I could not see anything in the photos on ebay.

    • I have been using the 1500mm dual motor one for over a year and could not be happier. It really is one of the best value standing desks out there!

  • +1

their 80kg model is $327.20 - i have this and use it for a dual monitor setup on a 140cm table top with no more than 30-40kg of items on the table (table top and stuff under the table - cables etc, weight included)

if you tend to keep stuff to the minimum on the desk, save 90AUD and get the 80kg model, my 2 cents.

  • Linak?

  • Was about to buy Ikea 1 IDÅSEN and ended up buying 2 of these for only $100 more. Thanks OP

    • Well the IDÅSEN is bigger, sturdier, and has lower minimum height and higher max height.

      • This is true, but for me and wifey this was a way better deal still with 5 yr warranty

  • +1

The price is pretty much the same as the Zendesk for a 1500mm model delivered (this is $75 delivery to WA).
Does anyone have experience with which one is better?
    https://www.zenspacedesks.com.au/product/zen-one-electric-he…

    • I think zendesk’s single motor whereas this one’s dual motor.

      • Confirmed Zendesk is single motor

  • I love my 1500mm dual motor Walnut top Lazy Maisons Desk. Bought this more than a year ago before lockdown and have been using it everyday since (WFH). Absolute life saver and one of the best purchases I've ever made. Highly recommended.

  • +2

I have the WH Frame+150cm Oz Oak Top 80kg and can also recommend :) 120cm is too cramped for me

  • Looks like the frames are discounted too which is what I've been looking at.

70kg load dual motor, $279 (non plus): https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/203206495265
120kg load dual motor, $335 (non plus): https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/203207657851

I'm not sure how these are any different to the Aimezo 2-stage ones, $339:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Adjustable-Electric-Two-Stage-Anti…

    Otherwise there's 3-stage $379:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/AIMEZO-Electric-Motorised-Adjustab…

But I'd really love to know the difference between all the above and the Ergomaker one, which is at $400:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/ERGOMAKER-Height-Adjustable-Standi…

Looks like the feet are wider and different shape so it seems like it's a 'custom' product by Ergomaker whereas the others are rebranded version of the same Chinese model.

EDIT: Thanks to all those who have contributed short reviews, it helps us who haven't got one yet make a good decision. :)

    • The amazon aimezo were on sale a few weeks back - around 20% from memory.

    • Looking at snapping up the 120KG dual motor frame. Did you get a chance to weigh up all the options and which one are you going with? In same boat as you

      • Hey I like your username. Not sure what to make of it though. :)

Anyway I just ordered the 120kg dual motor Lazy Maisons one (my 2nd link). It came down to $326 with eBay Plus (I just re-joined to get that deal, will cancel next month). I was weighing it up against the Aimezo ones, which rate really well on Amazon so it was hard. But I think my main reasons are:
        - Lazy Maisons are a local business with staff and good customer service. Aimezo sounds like they have decent customer service but I feel like it could be a one-man operation and it'll be through Amazon, rather than direct. Given the 5-year warranty, I feel LM will be most likely to still exist, of the two.
        - The feet on the LM one are 768mm deep/wide whereas the Aimezo one is 600mm. That extra will add to stability - I'll have this on thick carpet so I'm a bit concerned about wobble. I assume the rest of the design and materials quality is pretty much the same between each.
        - Price is roughly the same, slightly cheaper for the LM with eBay Plus.
        - Rather buy through eBay than the world's richest man (sometimes). Weaning myself off Amazon, I don't like them.

My wife has a Zendesk and I checked the minimum and max heights of the LM one and it is good enough for me. It's not as low as my wife's because the Zendesk is a 3-stage lift but otherwise I think they're the same, and we paid $900 for that. I'm planning on a top similar to this (as others have linked to):

        https://www.bunnings.com.au/practa-2200-x-600-x-25mm-rubberw…

        • you'll cut the bunnings tabletop to length?

          • @mr_asstight: Yeah if I go that I think I’ll need to. I have a Triton workbench but I’ll need to make sure the wood is nicely finished then lacquer it or something.

    • Have a look at the ekkio dual motor, 3 stage, 100kg for $285 with afpayday https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/294611257143
Drops to 60cm and up to 125cm

      • Ah yeah. Thanks. I don’t have/do Afterpay though.

  • Why not buy the matrix executive desk from office works? Basically the exact same thing. It's what I've got

  • What is everyone using to tidy up the cables behind and also to support multiple power boards ?

    • +2

I struggled with deciding what would be the best option.
I was going to buy the IKEA organiser for $15, but because of the movement, decided to go with a cable wrap instead. I got mine from aliexpress. So far, so good.

I drilled two screws under the bottom and mounted my single 8 port power board, upside down, onto it, and secured it with double sided sticky tape.

So far so good. Not the neatest, but gets the job done for me.

    • i splurged a bit on the powerboard.

      i used this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/274178642781 with this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/122947600391

i tucked all the wires in between the 2 parallel table frame raceways and hold them in place with lots of velcro… lots and lots of velcro - i used almost 3 rolls of this:
      https://www.bunnings.com.au/velcro-brand-25mm-x-3m-black-hea…

i am thinking of tidying up with j channel raceways (which i already have) but i have not had the time to go under the table to re-re-arrange things

    • I'm using the IKEA Signum that's drilled underneath the desk.

  • Do these have collision detection?

    • Yep, they do.
Source: I have one + the manual

  • Suggestion required!!!

What would be the best color combination?

    • I like the walnut/white combo, and a close second being the walnut/black. All personal preference though!

    • Walnut / White combo is what I got . Looks great!

  • I noticed the bottom feet are 768mm wide. For a 600mm-wide top I asssume the top of the table cannot sit against the wall as the feet are wider than the top ?

  • this or Artiss desk?

    • not sure the rest. but don't buy the single motor one. its rubbish.

  • min height 69cm.. isnt that bit too high for someone with height ~160cm..?
i am looking at sit/stand desk with min height around 63-65cm mark.. do you guys / girls know any?

  • Wish these cheaper eBay ones would come in a 1800mm desk top. 1500mm just isnt big enough when you have 3 monitors wide! FWP :(

  • Anyone knows anything about https://standdesk.com.au

Looks good and reasonable price, but not sure if theres something i miss / overlook

  • +1

I don't often leave comments here, but constructively speaking, I would encourage everyone to look at alternatives.
The Artiss desks are awesome but (in my experience) massively under reviewed in Australia. ( https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/353180956310 )
I bought this much earlier in the year and it works a treat. I would strongly recommend this desk. When I purchased, certain editions of it could be had for $150-200 (by changing table top size and colour of legs). I bought for around $200 via Ebay.

The desk posted by the OP is double the price, but I don't think it could be any more than 10% better (if any better, really) than the Artiss desks.

Just throwing my hat in the ring to say that there are cheaper alternatives, that are "no-name" brands, but by god they are good desks and the fact that they are under-reviewed is a shame because they're really terrific desks.

  • can someone tell me what material the table tops that come with the unit are made from?

    • +1

With any furniture, if they don't state it explicitly, you can assume it's particle board. Any better material they will highlight it for sure.

But the laminate surface is nice and feels quite solid overall.
