Requesting cheaper flights?!?! - AirAsia

I need to travel to Malaysia on 14th/15th July, and was looking at flights on Air Asia. They had a promo on yesterday for flights at $299 which I just missed out by a whisker. Now the price is back up to $409.

Is there any way to approach the call centers to request for the promo flight price? Any excuses?

If it helps, I know two friends going on the plane and know the plane number, prices the got etc.

Please help.

  • What about "Scoot" to Singapore ($179) then a cheap flight to Malaysia?

    • Or a coach/bus to Malaysia if there are no flight specials.

    • I saw TIGER flights for like <$20… if OP would be prepared to risk it.

    • I got a scoot flight form Sydney to Bangkok via Singapore on October, $298 return, no any other fee.

HAHAHAHA why would they possibly honour your requests for cheaper flights?? thats ridiculous.

you should call qantas or emirates and see if they'll price match.

online flight prices are not negotiable.
ultimately you were too slow, not their problem.

  • Where are you flying from? their last sale had seats from 199 ex Perth and 249 ex Gold Coast / Melbourne / Sydney (technically still going, but if your date is full, it's full)

My best suggestions are get on their mailing list and facebook page as they have a 'sale' every Friday but I suspect if all the promo seats are gone, they are gone, that is their business model. and check out the usual comparison sites adiosos/webjet/expedia/skyscanner but it seems your leaving things a bit late for a decent deal.
