  • You might wish to look at eBay for those Optus-locked HTC Incredible S. I bought one for around $260 in January but it's getting rarer to find.

Alternatively, what about Samsung Galaxy W? Slightly smaller screen, more powerful, and you might be able to find it cheaper (if locked to Vodafone).

  • The Galaxy W is expired, but op maybe you should look into an LG Optimus 2x (P990) or a Galaxy Nexus/ Galaxy S II.

  • ive heard some pretty bad comments about the lg optimus 2x and the nexus and s II are too expensive!
the incredible for 329 is probably still better

  • Dick Smith have Vodafone Galaxy W for $228 right now.

Refer to scotty's link for information on unlock and Optus 3G access config.

Though, the unlock method seem to work for some, and not for others :O

Also to use an Optus network SIM make sure you live / work / play in an Optus 3G (2100MHz) area. The phone is not compatible with the Optus 3G (900MHz) network and as such won't be much use on the Optus 3G network outside metro and major regional areas.

    • +1

Someone ought to post that :) The performance is comparable/faster than the first Samsung Galaxy S, which is still around $300+ mark.

      • I was going to, but then I'm feeling lazy xD

Feel free to do the honours lol

  • I'm trying to find the exact same thing :(. Shouldn't the price go down as time goes on? >.>

Plus the Optus online sales are down so there's only the ~360 price available instore.

  • i know its so annoying!
i want one for 269 again

  • so anyone seen them cheaper?

    • Are you definitely looking for it brand new? I've got a used one for sale (used for about 5 months).

  • how much? ive seen them heaps cheaper second hand, but i wanted a new one as a present for my g/f

  • I ended up taking up scotty's suggestion and buying it on ebay for $280 incl postage. That'd really be the best option besides just waiting for a price drop or another special.
