Shipping is $1.95 to Brisbane, for all those who are wondering.

  • Just to let people know these things do not last very long 2-3hours tops.

    • yes, true - bought one last month from ebay - free shipping - very poor quality and battery not last for even 1 hour. So using only the sd card on phones, useless

  • Thought it was a new version of the Sandisk Sansa Clip for a minute there.
Price is good since it includes an 8GB microsd card, but I can't find any specs on battery life, sound quality etc of the device.
Guessing being a generic mp3 player both will be lacking though

  • I had such a clip player a while back. As there is no display, you really have no idea which album/track you are at, unless you keep count or don't care (maybe you just want something random from your collection). And 8GB is an awful lot of tracks. This may be obvious, but I thought I'd mention it.

LOL it looks a lot like the iPod shuffle

how many hours of play time on full charge?

    • +1

The really funny thing is a lot of its promo shots are actually of the shuffle, not of it. Can easily tell from the direction of the Play symbol and all the extra ports/text are missing in the photos.
Given how apple is suing anyone with a phone these days, I'm surprised they haven't cracked down on this sort of thing.

    • I wonder how they avoid getting sued for these knock offs.

Get genuine Sandisk Sansa Clip/Clip+ instead. It's tiny, lightweight, works 15 hours on one charge and sound quality is great.

    • I loved my Clip+ with Rockbox, broke after 3 months though. :(

    • Or the Clip Zip. Just got that. It's really good :D (Put rockbox on it too. Works like a charm)

    • hmm it looks nice, but the sandisk web site has it for 50 dollars.

  • I thought all mp3 players sounded much the same, but I got a no-name one that looks like this one last week, and it sounds horrible- thin and trebly.

I've read that the Sandisk Sansa is good, at least in some editions.

    • Not true. It is highly dependent on the chips they use. This being a generic noname chinese mp3 player means it is absolute rubbish. Rubbish is worth nothing hence charging $8 for it is not a bargain.

    • No there is an amazing variance.

Cheap hardware often produces horrible sound.

HOWEVER, if you didn't know this you probably have a poor set of headphones/earphones anyway, and a quality source wouldn't make a significant difference to you.

  • Also this thing always start from the top of your song list. No random or does not start from where you where last.

    • now THAT put me off buying~

    • does not start from where you where last.

i remember having that problem from an el-cheapo aldi mp3 player. it was frigging annoying.

I got one of those before: battery seemed to go emptier faster every time I recharged until it was dead after about 5 recharges. Might not be representational but that was my 5 cents worth of experience.

  • I bought 5 of these (without memory card) for $10 including shipping from dhgate a few months ago.

actaully haven't used any of them as I was lured by the price rather than any real need.

  • I bought one of these, and it was MONO. $6 deal extreme special delivered.
To get stereo you had to hold the jack a particular way.
So after one use it was in the bin. And I ordered an ipod shuffle with my Qantas points.. after all, didn't want to pay for another :)
