Any issues with QFF point sales?

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone out there has gotten into trouble for family transfers that weren't actually between family members (ie. sales on here).

I've read that Qantas sometimes check but not sure how common this is.

Anyone here have any experiences with it? Any issues?

  • Do a search for Qantas Account Suspended, it certainly has happened in the past.

    • Good advice. I tried searching and didn't come up with much, these are useful terms.

  • Feel free to sell your points to me, let us pretend we are step-brothers.

BTW, just a heads up, I may or may not work for the Qantas loyalty team.

We can be sure that's not the case, you'd be on the tarmac unloading bags with AJ right now and not on Ozb

Oh, that and QFF employees would never come and hang out with the likes of us

You are right, good logical deduction that I do not work for Qantas.

But you never know, all you need is the right (qantas staff) buyer and the wrong time for the points to be forfeited and membership closed. If one was a nothing Bronze member and 60 lifetime status credits, the risk is neglgible except points loss - but if you were lifetime silver enroute to lifetime gold, with current gold or above status - then that's another story. I guess it comes down to one's risk apetite.

  • Thanks for sharing thoughts, all.

I have a solid Qantas history, I should probably just leave it as-is.
