Please don't consume things that have been exposed to plastic at high heat. Even BPA free is not safe. The stuff they use to replace it is just as bad. Please heat in glass or ceramic.

Research phthalates, BPA BPS BPF and testosterone.

so don’t put these on the bbq, got it.

    • BPA free
You're more likely to burn yourself taking glass out of the microwave.

Just use stovetop pots if worried.

    • +1

Big agree with this. Putting food into plastic, then heating it, is absolutely awful.

My face already does this, who cares

      • Low T is relevant from teenage years.

      • Theres no definitive evidence to attest to it either way.

That said, if you put water in and it doesnt taste the same as water in a cup - you know why.

Yeah don't put them in microwave, always use glass container.

Could you give us some glass alternatives please

      IKEA

    • Costco. Pyrex 10 containers are for about 34 bucks I guess. Worth every penny.
Once glass bowl heated, food remains hot for longer.

      • That can work against you if you are reheating multiple batches in the one container - the walls keep getting hotter and before you know it the edges of the contents burn before the centre heats up.

  • Got a bunch of these but just be aware that depending on what's in your soup, the lids have a tendency to pop off whilst microwaving and splatter your soup everywhere. The little steam vent is just too small to be effective, in my opinion.

Say no to plastic. Save the planet.

    • making glass creates more co2

      • Buy clay or steel utensils.

Find it funny how people (not necessarily you) will say a little mug is going to destroy the planet and then drive an hour to work in the biggest gas guzzler money can buy.

      • +4

Yeah, hypocrisy at best. Keep lights and aircon ON nights long throughout all malls and then ask the countrymen to save electricity. Cut millions of trees to make tissues/ toilet papers and then talk about climate change. Breed and kill animals for food and then bother about environmental balance and sympathy. It's same as drinking bottles of beer/ wine every single weekend and then have 'healthy' and 'sugar free' diet for the rest of the week.

        • It's same as drinking bottles of beer/ wine every single weekend and then have 'healthy' and 'sugar free' diet for the rest of the week.

Except destroying and deluding yourself is a private issue that doesn't directly affect others, so if that's your shtick then go for it.

        • Definitely username checks out !!!

  • Generally, heating plastic can't be good for you. Just use a porcelain container; put plate on.

Plastic and microwave is not good for health. Try using a jumbo ceramic mugs for Microwaving soup. Fits office need as well.

I use these as regular cups because I drop and smash breakable cups.
