I'm getting tried of these keyboard mashing non-brands.

Was cheaper in the not too distant past. You have no additional value over this one. You're just hoping you can sell it for more.

The heading says 87W PD, whilst the body text says 100W PD, which is it?.
This looks the same as the Haribol brand which was recently on sale for $27.92

yeh these are pretty average at best. Got the haribol one the other day, didn't read the fine print, it's slow usb and only has 100mbit ethernet port.

    bah.

For 27 bucks it's ok but the 100m port kills it. cbf returning it…in the cupboard it goes. Maybe that's their business plan.

    • I've been through a few of these, they always seem to have overheating issues, speed issues, disconnection issues, etc.

Picked up an expensive HP one used (although with 3 monitor ports) and it has been solid as a rock. There's more than just branding in the price difference, that's for sure.

These non-brands probably pay these accounts $100 per post or something to piggyback on their 'credibility' (eg being a member since 2015).

      • +2

Some of those accounts have been caught sockpuppeting which basically means they were trying to manipulate the votes/comments in order to make money from the community. I don't think this is what scotty had in mind when he created Ozbargain.
Will have to neg for issue with the seller.

  • Not sure if my was lowest, but I brought at 24.94 last time ( different brand, same stuff)

  • Will this hub work on a smart phone with type c? So if you plug the hub into phone with the phone read multiple SSD's or thumb drives. And PD connect as well?

  • Similar question as above..
Can this be used to hook into a mesh system via USB C to Ethernet???

    • +3

Not worth risking a shitty connection, as above. Pay the money and get something real instead of these random, off-brand ones from known spamazon posters.

      • Which hub do you recommend?

  • +2

I am using this at work, Haribol branded. If you move the hub, the monitor cuts out. The 100Mbps ethernet is useless - not even worth having and I don't use it.

We have to block these stores in Amazon who keep posting bad deals & bad products. They always try to get and hope to sell more.
