Great price, but not really certain where they ship from…

I'm after the new Yellow one - But not for $299+
Might pull the trigger on this though - https://joycejewellery.com/products/casio-g-shock-duo-blueto…

    • +3

Actually, bought this instead - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/275330811376
      $233 with AfterPay Deal

      • I was after yellow as well. I'm hoping for a lower price, but this is tempting

        • +1

Can't justify the extra for the Yellow one atm. I'll get the blue one.

        • +4

Apparently stock availability of the Yellow is going to be the issue. (according to a G-Shock reseller over at Southland)

If you're really keen, suggest you grab one while you can, especially at $233

Yellow how old are you 12 😂

        • It'll match my iPhone case…

        • You can change the colour/casing/strap. Google "GA2110 mod kit".

Just an update on this eBay purchase/seller - tempoprima

        Excellent so far!

        Received confirmation immediately.
Received Express Post Booking confirmation within 10 minutes.
Received a personal eBay message and photo of my packed goods within 1 hour.
Received confirmation of receipt of goods by Aust Post 10 minutes later!

        Awesome service !

        • Any new updates?

Yellow is looking so cool and flashy. Definitely a great choice.

  • It concerns me a little that the only phones they list as compatible are Apple or Samsung. Neither of those private gardens are places I wish to take my wallet/diary/receipt book/social diary…

And to whoever that upset so much they negged it, I welcome the acknowledgment that we differ…

    FYI shipping options

Australia Post - free - Delivery in 5-25 days.
    DHL - about $35 AUD - Delivery in 24-96h.

  • They have the stealth black however the model number is the "GA-B2100" (New, with solar & BT) but the photo is showing the old "GA-2100" stealth.. https://www.tictacarea.com/en/casio-g-shock-watches/casio-g-…

I've contacted customer care to confirm but looks like they wont be open again until monday for responses

Has anyone had experiences with this seller and ship times?

Some G-Shocks in the Starbuy weekend sale as well.

I’d love the new full metal solar Bluetooth but can’t justify the price

Do I really need another watch? im sure ill be told I do Haha

No PayPal payment option, only CC.

I purchased from TicTacArea and although I was a bit hesitant it arrived no worries.

  • Stupid question but does this deliver notifications from phones?

    • no. pairing to your phone via bluetooth allows you to use the app to set the time, automatically change the time on your watch when you change time zones and a few other settings on the watch.

      • +1

Keeps the time accurate too by syncing to the phone app is worthwhile, and as you say the app makes it a lot easier to configure it.

  • You might want to check how their return works prior to ordering.
In case, something goes wrong, there should be an easy way to return the watch.
    They don't look Australian based.
There is a high possibility it may be a fake website selling counterfeit stuff.
Always good to check with Casio if this seller is an authorized seller.

    • +1

they're based in Spain. plenty of people on watch forums say the g-shocks they received are legit, just shipping time is slow.

      • How about returning for a change of mind or refund from them?

        • +1

would be expensive, like it is dealing with any overseas seller. i'd only buy if you know what you want. i've got a few ga-2100s which are very similar in dimensions so i know it'd fit me fine. you could also go to a local watch/jewellery stores like shiels if they have the model in stock to check it out first.

  • Looks shady to me, would highly recommend avoiding.

Read their Returns & Warranty below - 2 different tabs but the same content. Also if you can make sense of it, you will understand the hassle of returning the stuff.

Looks shady to me, would highly recommend avoiding.

Nah it appears you didn't even click on the store link & read the old posts.

Members have been buying stuff for years from legit overseas stores, there's always a risk in regards to warranty no matter what you buy.

  • +1

One thing to note for modifications. Luminous index for GA-2100 is NOT compatible with GA-B2100.

That's alright I'll just grab these from Vietnam for 10 bucks.

    • go on and stay there
They'd be pieces of crap that wouldn't last, wouldn't be water proof etc. etc. Total waste of 10$

  • -1

Lol they've last me 6 7 years and I change the battery myself.

    • That's alright should sell them for profit.
Not hard to change a battery. May disrupt the 200m water resistance on the real ones.

      • Depends on the grade. Better to go to Malaysia for the Hublots and TagHeur fakes buy around 60 sell around 400 500 here

        • Most AliExpress microbrands are better quality than that crap these days, and have genuine Seiko movements, sapphire crystal, good grade aluminium and finishing etc, for pretty sharp prices.

Depends what you want though, pays to do the research but agree some ppl may just want a blatant and branded copy.

          • @G-rig: I got a fake hublot from philipines for about $50aud this year. Hard to tell it's fake. It's automatic as well all the movements work. I'll take a photo of it later today and upload. I just can't justify spending 40k on a watch as I'd only wear it to special occasions. For daily I use gshocks as they are unbreakable (tradie tough)

            • @iamthecaptainnow: Sounds alright, the difference is how long it works for and lasts. A watch maker would be able to tell. What movement is in it.
plenty of other stuff in short of spending that much ha.

Edit: Not saying it's junk, but for $50 if it only lasted a year or two then no risk - any longer is a bonus.
You can get a lot of good watches for $100-300 anyway and nice to have a selection of different styles.
The reduced seikos, G-shocks and decent AliExpress brands are great (The Paganis look a lot more expensive than they are for example, Steeldives are great and those Cronos GMT are the best homage of the Rolex, top quality but you pay for it).

Sent back an Oris Calibre 400 that was running +17s/d when the spec claims -3/+5s/d so it was disappointing to say the least. Already have the 43mm so will just keep that. got a cheap Sekio tuna solar that keeps great time!
