Comes with a free home mapping from Amazon

  • Cheap compared to new, but worth reading the eBay feedback

How can it be cheap when its too old to be sold new? That RRP is from years ago.

  • These are like 3-4 years old are they not?

    • I just ordered the iRobot S9+ Refurb for $1299 Delivered as it is still the best Robot Vacuum cleaner for Carpets (my main usage) even after 3 years on the market.

  • Good deal. Just something to consider, the main negative from the Choice review of this model is 'Hits objects all the time and hits particularly hard against chair legs.' Still is one of the recommended models currently.

Not a good deal at all as it's an old model which doesn't have LIDAR, will just smash into things.

Are these actually refurbished or is this an excuse for Roomba to clear new units without undercutting retailers?

    • +1

      Probably the latter

      Cant say for sure.

I recently purchased a Braava M6 which was listed as a refurb from IXL Home which are the official distributor for iRobot in Australia.

It looked basically brand new. The only way I could tell it had been used was there was a small amount of water in the water reservoir area. It also did not arrive in retail packaging, it was in a generic cardboard box. The box was purpose built for the Braava, so it was well packaged. All the other accessories with it (mopping pads, floor liquid, etc) were sealed in plastic and brand new.

  • Thanks OP!!! Was looking for a replacement for my Xaomi S9 who’s battery died…
    THANKS :-)

    • A new battery would be a lot cheaper than $599. This is sort of like buying a new car because tyres need replacing. Unless the Xaomi also didn’t suck enough?

      • Sadly customer service wouldn’t let me change the battery so I had to send it back and they refunded my $600.
(Very easy process tbh… I was impressed with their customer service)

  • Just got my S9+ Refurb. Looked like new. Only 20 hours on it. Very Happy.

Received my unit today with a history of 281 jobs already run, total job time of 216 hours. My guess is it ran almost daily and carked it within 1 year of warranty. At this price with this much heavy usage, I would definitely recommend something like a Dreame D10+, or spend a little more on a Roborock S7+ (on sale of course). Will see how it lasts with the 6 months refurb warranty…

    • How can you find out the history? I got mine today and wondering the same

      • +2

Get the iRobot app on your phone and check out History -> Lifetime

Thanks bought one, first robot vacuum.

Going to be away for 3mths with someone checking in on the house every few weeks. Hopefully the robot can do its thing on schedule and not get stuck.
