The last time that i looked, the buy back prices were fairly negligible and i was much better off selling things on Gumtree or Marketplace. The buy back prices that i looked at were all so low that I doubt that the 50% bonus changes that.
I saw this deal and took my 15 year old Karlstad Sofa in last night - they gave me $315 (also saw later they were reselling it for $199, so they actually make a loss, with this deal as an environental thing). It was in great condition as I've replaced and washed the covers, but still amazed and impressed
It can be really hit and miss what condition they assess your items to be in, which means you might receive much less than anticipated, but you won't find out until after you've already taken everything into the store
The main thing they checked on my buyback was the screw thread of the sofa legs to the frame and no missing screws to my coffee table.
Also was more convenient than dealing with marketplace/gumtree/choosingbeggar buyers

I had a similar experience, not worth the time of bringing it in for them to assess the condition differently

Not that much more effort imo, you will get 100% refund compared to a partial buy back. I also cbf'd doing either though lol

I doubt many people buy Ikea out of love. more likely out of necessity.
Took up this offer as well. Got offered $274.50 for a poang we haven't used for a while.
Went to Ikea the following day to buy some other things and the poang was in the second chances section with a $99 price tag on it.
Is it possible to buy something right now brand new from Ikea and get more than I paid back for it?
