  • is this boozle in disguise?

  • can you include the actual prices?
how much you save from their standard price doesnt really say much

    • milkguru, I've updated the listing to reflect savings off standard price. Thanks for your feedback

  • Hi dirybird, we're not affiliated with boozle. Our goal is to bring together all the best beer & liquor specials and put them in an easy to use mobile & web app. Making it super easy for anyone to save some money on booze.

I should probably check your site but its pretty easy to check prices in my suburb and surrounding area with boozle.
Cheap beer isnt so cheap if the best price is an hour away.
(free beer is a different kettle of fish)

So this isnt a post about a bargain, its an ad for an app?

      • dirtybird, we've simply gone out and done the research on the best specials and thought the ozbargain community would want to see what they are…

  • How about wine?

    • Wine's a little harder to gather all the data on prices… I'll keep it in mind next time we gather all the data.

This is not a site for advertisement. If you were to present the information in a form In which we do not need to use the app much like how the grocery deals are presented that would be fine, however I see this as an advertisement to generate traffic to your website rather than to benefit the ozbargain community.
Most people here are aware of boozle so we can all search the latest deals based on location and based on your app this does not offer anything more, so if you want to post the specials each week based on the highest % special this is the only way I can see you gaining a following.
More than happy to revoke my neg if you can change this post to satisfy the above.

Hi phil, thanks for your comment… I'll make the changes and ensure all the deals are presented straight up for the community.

  • advertising for your new app/website. please dont spam ozbarg

  • please have a read of the deal posting guidelines

$42 a slab for VB… holy mother of crud didn't seem that long ago $33 a slab was pretty standard.

    • +1

They're probably trying to redefine it as a slightly more elegant beer. There's so much brand loyalty to VB already that people will pay the extra $5-10 without thinking and consider it just another victim of the carbon tax.

      • Um, didn't XXXX just overtake VB as Australia's most popular beer after VB having the crown for decades?

  • Doesnt work on my iPad, get some stupid picture to scan, no website. Can say this is anything like a bargain, just an ad.

  • +1

I have browsed the site and can find no reference to the above mentioned prices. But let's be honest who really thinks $41.99 is cheap for VB let alone an RRP of $53.99.

  • what the hell…. looks like a crappy boozle for bogans

    lousy range of cities
all the beers listed have bottled cat piss as their main ingredient (except the CPA)

  • I am not interested in going to your site just to find out what CITY these deals are available in, nuch less what shops. A bit rich.

If you want community support, you need to state where the deals are available and what states. Seems pretty obvious to me.
