Australia Post $5 International Roaming SIM

Thanks sydracing for sharing about the Australia Post international roaming SIM

It seems too good to be true except for the data capacity - but $5 for 30 days seems awesome. Has any OzBargainer used this SIM ? Can you please share the experience (if any network issues?)

  Read the T&C

  You will not be able to use your service if you exceed any of the included allowances until you top-up.

  Make sure to keep mobile data off. Even just turning the service on will wipe half the data allowances and this sim will be useless very quickly.

    So it's basically $5 for 50mb of data…. Which isn't a great deal.

  Forget the pitiful data allowance, this just might be useful for people who use non-roaming sims while travelling overseas but needing SMS or basic call for authorisations, emergencies etc.
  In Europe recently was unable to access AU SMS/calls due to provider not allowing roaming (Belong).
  Assume if you bought this for $5, you could turn off data, but forward normal calls/SMS to this number and access OS?
  Would like to know.
